As many of you have come to know us, a large part of our business is due to the support from BG Products. We tested and used their products and were impressed with the results. We use their products and combine them with service kits we offer. We have been told our instructions are written so detailed that "If you own a jack you should be able to follow them" We have added more S197 specific kits this year which have been very popular. I can say the products work.

BG has a very strong relationship with FMC and GM, several dealers we know personally use BG Products in their Service Departments over the Ford Products. Tasca, Sentry and the Auto Nation chains are BG's bigger Customers.

BG's Syncro Shift II is the ONLY Product that officially states that it is for use in the MT82. We have a growing base of GT350 Customers who have had great results as well. The Tremec transmissions all spec ATF which with a small bit of common sense you can understand why they do that. 1. Cheap, 2. Low Viscosity, 3. Readily available. 4. CHEAP.

BG Syncro Shift II was developed due to OEM's changing to low viscosity fluids in transmissions. Tremec Qualifies the OEM fluids so they have to recommend them in their products. The problem with ATF's is they are designed for what amounts to a hydraulic circuit. In a manual transmission you have straight cut gears and syncro's. The shearing effect and heat from track use of mechanical transmission (tooth to tooth contact) shears the ATF's down and provides minimal protection from wear. The additive package of an ATF is designed to give the AT clutches some grip. This is the same grip the synthetic Syncro's require to operate. ATF's are not formulated to have anti-shearing properties they see in a manual gearbox. Do they get the job done? Yes. Are they the best choice? Absolutely not.

As a side note when Tremec entered the Aftermarket in the early 1990's they specified a GM specific fluid. If you are old like me and around at that time you will remember the 5 speed Tremec which was a huge step above the T-5 in capacity. The GM Spec Fluid you were required to run was Part Number: 12345349, now discontinued but Tremec still lists it in the Service Manual. BG Still meets these specs. The recommendations now of ATF's are OEM driven.

We recommend the MGC Product for all Transmissions. The Shelby GT350 Track Pack Kit below will work in the GT500's as well.

We have Kits for everything more or less. Our more Popular Kits are Linked Below:
