Ive heard of guys outright removing what i assume is a little noise guard on the front spring where it touches the strut. It allegedly cheats you another mm or so lowering. Id guess this piece compresses under load anyway but hell - if its already out, and im replacing it anyway, why not? Is it a dumb idea?

I think of it more as a preference and not a good or bad choice.

My preference is for fewer stray noises and squeaks. But there are no rubber isolators in my CorteX stuff.
