Custom GT350 DSC Control Module by CorteX

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

I just received a message from Filip that they will be offering custom programmed DSC control modules for sale within the next few days. CorteX has done extensive testing to get the right mix for both track and street. Combine this module with the new Ford Performance springs for a killer track setup.

If Filip liked it, it must be good...
Seriously, not to sound like a Koolaid drinker but Filip is obsessive about details and function. I think the biggest complement I could give him and his company (Cortex) is that they are not an "engineered to fit" operation. Real R&D goes into each part. The "mindset" is on point over there.....

The car is fast and stable bone stock. The controller is a way to fine tune the dampers for specific tracks or personal preference on the street. I'm going to install the lowering springs and probably buy this controller. I'm not planning on making any changes beyond that. I also have CC plates. I'm running the cup2 tires on lighter wheels and they make a big difference.

Are you sure you want to add the FP lowering springs?
I have 305/30 pilot sport cup 2 tires on the forgelines. I also have the R springs, R splitter and this thing sits low as it is. I'm running the following parts and set up.

-GT350R splitter.
-GT350R springs.
-Eibach front and rear sway bars.
-Billet sway bar mounts with delrin bushings.
-Cortex front and rear adjustable sway bar end links.
-Cortex front and rear control arm bearings.
-Cortex bump steer kit (self modified for GT350/R).
-FP aluminum IRS cradle bushings.
-FP aluminum diff bushings.
-FP toe bearings.
-Self made vertical links.
-Self made toe links.
-Self modified camber links.
-Vorshlag camber plates.

I set my alignment to:
Front.
-2.5 camber
1/16" toe out

Rear.
-2.0 camber
1/8" toe in

Tire psi cold @ 28

hi 8250RPM,

Which Forgeline size wheel widths do you have front and rear ? Are you running 305/30/19 SC2's all around ?

I just bought the VX1R Forgelines, R sizes 11 front and 11.5 rear and was wondering whether I can run a 305/30/19 square tire set up with these wheels ?

Also, I have the same camber settings front and rear but don't know how to compare my toe settings with yours ? Below is a picture of my current settings. Before the Forgelines I was running P51 wheels, R set up, with 305/30/19 front and 315/30/19 rear. With these alignment settings I hardly can was only able to do 2 track days with my Michelin's Sport Cup 2's. The rears are still ok.
Wondering if my toe settings are right ? Could also do more camber, I have the Vorshlag Camber Plates installed.
Thanks for any feedback/ reply

Curious whether these have picked up in popularity with the GT350s. They are very popular with the Porsche guys. Surprised not to have seen any significant reviews for the Shelby’s.

Some people love them some people cant tell the difference. I bought a used one and when I would plug it in the car recognized it. But one I started driving the car would not communicate with it and the car was driving like a Cadillac. Sent it to DCS and they couldn't fix it. My buddy that I track with has one ,I asked him if he noticed a difference and he didn't notice much. Now, if it was custom tuned then it might be beneficial. But my buddy with a 911 installed one and it was a huge difference.

Hey Byron - you going to make PDC in October? Yeah I figured it was a mixed bag given the general lack of enthusiasm (at least compared to the P-Car guys). Honestly I probably wouldn’t have bought it for my GT4 except for a review I read from Randy Pobst on it.
