Nice driving! Was that a new Honda Civic Type R?

Sonoma Raceway during the NorCal Shelby Mini-Nats. Chasing down a Triple Yellow R and a Comp Orange GT350 running R suspension and OEM R carbon fiber wheels. Only performance mods I have are R-Spec Project 6GR wheels and OEM PSC2 tires. I got a little carried away as soon as I passed the yellow R and came into turn 4 too early. Put my left 2 wheels into the dirt. Pulled it into the pits to calm down after that one.

That looked like fun. Where did you mount the outside camera?

I mounted it to my front tow hook. I have the ZL1 Addons with an optional GoPro mount. This was my first time using it and it's pretty good! I was surprised at how little vibrations there were. I used a Hero4 so it doesn't even have any image stabilization. It's a little tilted to the left but that's an easy fix.

First time at Mid Ohio. We drove with the chicane configuration. Beginning to learn the nuances of this very challenging track. I ended up with some laps in the 1:40's with some rain. This is a high speed, high committal track that I am counting down the days until I visit again. Much like Grattan Michigan, I feel like there will always be tenths of a second waiting to be uncovered throughout the track no matter how many times you have visited. I feel like I found the rhythm as this session progressed with my faster lap times coming in the second half with no traffic. Also I thankfully resolved my ongoing GoPro audio issues, enhancing the viewing experience. Tires are 305/680/18 Pirelli DH slicks.

Met a nice Porsche guy at Mid-O and we got some footage back and forth. He was a bit quicker than myself but we were close all day. It's cool to see the different lines and strengths of vastly different cars. Judging from this video, I have plenty of room for improvement but it was my first time there so it is to be expected. Skip ahead to 2:00 when tires start to warm

Buttonwillow 13CW last weekend with Speed Ventures. Racing the the turbo Supermiata in S1 so I only did one session in the GT350. Finally got a clean lap without traffic then bobbled the last turn. Drat! Tires were a bit too hot by then. Still a 1:59.7 in 80* weather. Guessing a clean lap on cooler tires in cool weather would be a mid 1:57. Bone stock here. R splitter and wing, DSC shock controller, 305 RS4's all here and waiting to go on. We'll go back in a a few weeks and see what it will do.

The last lap in the only session I timed at MSR-Houston today.

Car setup is in the description.

There are some tricky spots on that track, well executed.
