Is it Forgestar that has changed? I ordered my CF5Vs thru Howey Industries and was quote 6-8 Weeks. IIRC it took all of six and that was back in February of 2014. Howey was responsive to every enquiry. Have things changed that much in three years?

It could be that they are swamped from all the positive press you see recently over the 18x11 or larger custom wheels.... I don't want to sound Bitchy, But........All I want is a email response so I know whats going on.. So far nothing at all..... Tried Facebook, email, PM etc etc... Order was placed and payed for in mid December!! If the factory in China burnt down, let me know!!

Just got a mail from Jon Beatty at Vorshlag, 18x12 wheels are still in process, looks like another month to go. But very happy to get news.

Just to update... no luck with the CF5. but Vorshalg told me yesterday that the new modified Forgestar F14 will now fit 15in brakes. Good news as they wait time is far shorter... Looks like it will be six months all in all, but happy to get the wheels soon.

Another update on Vorshlag/Forgestar no shows...... Its been over 8 months now and still no date for eight wheels. Sending regular emails but no answer from Vorshlag since mid June. really disappointing. I think my buddies are considering a lynching party for me for recommending Vorshalg. :(

Certain groups have nothing positive to say about Apex on facebook; yet every interaction and experience I've had has been wholly positive from on-time deliveries (preorder even arrived early!), fast support, fast delivery of additional sets of wheels, quality of wheels, value, responsiveness, etc.

I can't remember the last time I saw something positive about Forgestar. Sorry to hear about the troubles @Mad Hatter , hopefully you catch a break with this soon. Did I recently see something about forgestar being acquired by another company?

thanks guys! Well, at least the wheels are for some ZL1's........... If they were mine I would be way more upset...... Hmm, maybe thats why they want to lynch me!!!o_O...

It seems to me that every time I gripe about the wheels on TMO I get a quick response from Vorshalg. Emails I guess are no longer valid in this modern age!!!

Not that I've had any bad dealings with vorshlag but I've found that if a company is unresponsive and you've tried literally everything else, fastest way to get a response is publicly discuss your issue. Otherwise let the money do the talking. I've had to go down that road painfully with a unnamed 3 letter vendor in the community a few times.

Ouch... in general I have almost zero problems with long distance venders in the USA and UK and thats with me being at the other end of the world. Even though the importation process is a real PITA. I got some feedback from Vorshlag with one set of wheels ready and now waiting for confirmation for the second set. Would like to get this Done and Forgotten asap.

Well after 9 months the wheels are ready to leave Miami and head to Chile... Interesting note... the F14 Wheels (that now fit the same brakes as the CF5's) came from Weld racing..... I guess they do the last touches to the Chinese blanks?? At least after all this time the wheels have aged nicely and should be lighter!!

Got quoted $1740 for CF5V 19x11 shipped. Forgestar won't make 19x10.5 but Apex will. Still think they're lighter than the Apex wheels of the same size. The Apex wheels are nice but running about $46 dollars more shipped and although I know what I got with my Forgestars, not so sure with Apex. Waiting for an official weight number from Forgestar on the 19x11s. Anyone have a weight on the EC-7s in 19x11?

(I do not use Vorshlag - Always used Howey and they have always communicated with me well)

For reference We paid US$1600 for a set of 18x12 CF5s, these were later changed to a set of the new F14's that also fit big brakes since the CF5s had no delivery date

This is what is on the Vorshlag website

"Vorshlag has been an active dealer with Forgestar since 2012. We love their wheels, which are unique in their ability to offer lightweight wheels with custom offsets and widths in a rotary forged design with great prices. We have won a lot of races on Forgestars wheels and "we race what we sell". The lead times for these wheels have always been the toughest selling point, and unfortunately this has only gotten worse as the brand has increased in popularity. So for the foreseeable future Vorshlag is no longer taking new orders for Forgestar wheels. When the backorder situation improves at Forgestar, we will update our website and turn these wheel packages back on. "

Late last year Weld Racing bought Forgestar. And then almost immediately, Momo bought Weld Racing. Part of the issue with Forgestar this year has been leftover lag times from them getting blanks in time, and the other issue is them transferring production from California to Missouri.

There are some models that we order that arrive in six weeks. Others, like the specific CF5 that Mad Hatter wanted still aren't available, months later. In the last couple months, they have been getting better. Seems as the transition finishes up, orders are moving smoother.

We've also been using 18x11 Braid Fullrace Concave wheels. Designed from the start for motorsports. Pretty heavy duty for the curb hoppers. And no waiting for blanks.

How is the price of the Braid wheels compared to the forgestars??
