Update on this 2013 Race Red Boss 302: it is Boss #2115 and it was exported to Germany and sold as a retail used car without damage disclosure. The new owner was provided with a clean CarFax in May 2016.

Boss #xxxx VIN 1ZVBP8CU8D5255101 - Race Red - 13923mi. Damage to front bumper, rad support, frame rails, driver's airbag deployed, repairable, up for auction in TX, June 2015

Please update Boss No. 2115 for this VIN, and new location of Germany as of May 2016.

Sad to say, Our Boss numbers will decline due to over zealous Drivers/Owners..that comes with the territory.Not me. I bought the Boss to drive,cruise and enjoy as a race car for the street. I love this car!....This is plenty of HP for me ......Amen!

I am new to this forum and I do not own a Boss at the moment.
I am from Germany and the Boss #2165 is offered to me.

According to its Vin it is a lost boss.

The Dealer which offered it to me told me that that is just a trick to save on the border for shipping to germany...
I don't know how to go on - am new to US - Cars.
Damn - the Car looks and drives like it is in very good condition.
And I really want to buy it.
I realy fell in love with this Car.
But I don't want to buy a crashed car.

The Price is about 33.000€ (round about 36.500 USD).

Is it the truth what the dealer told me or is he cheating on me?
Why it the Boss a "Man down" if only the front sheetmetal is light damaged?
Maybe you can help me.

@OrangeSoul welcome to TMO. We have a knowledgable TMO member who lives just outside Zurich so he is not too far from you. @buland might be able to provide some assistance. Since that car is in the TMO database I'm pretty confident that it was a salvage car here before anyone decided to export it to the EU. I'm going to guesstimate that a salvage title car here in the US would take a $5,000 hit on the price if it was repaired correctly. I'm no expert on that though and others might be able to provide a more precise estimate.

Not sure about prices in the EU but $36,500 would be a high price for that car here in the US. Best to have someone you trust to check out the car.

Say you could get the car for 23,000 in the US, with shipping insurance and taxes......36,500 sounds about right in the end. Mine cost MSRP plus 45% to get it to Chile.... Thats why its one of two in Chile.

Forgot about shipping and mods to make it legal there. Because of the salvage title it should still go for a discount compared to others with similar mileage and condition. @buland might have a better perspective on price.

Boss accessibility to purchase is not that great here in this country so I would imagine that OrangeSoul would have a much harder time finding one in Europe. OrangeSoul, Just keep in mind That Boss might have got shipped overseas for a reason....Wish you luck on your quest for a Boss......you won't be sorry...
