I would also like to thank my sponsor for the weekend, Avis car rental, the number 21 Avis Ford Mustang was running good all day, we just had the wrong tire and brake package to keep up with the 58, the 59 and the 14. But we will be back in '18 to give those boys a run for their money.

So this past event was not my best one, but will certainly be my most memorable. As I eluded in a previous point, I had an off road excursion in the first session and ended up in a tire wall with my new car.
I wanted to send a special shout out to Steve @steveespo, Pete @PeteInCT, and Nick @Black Boss. They came right over and jumped in assessing the damage and then helping repair my car once I got back to the garage, providing tools, knowledge, and 200 mph duct tape! Only missed one session on Saturday and was able to finish the day on Sunday.
Additional thanks for all the other moral support I got for all my fellow TMO members that I didn't mention. It once again proves that the TMO family is really one of the best sources for friendship, comradery and knowledge within the Track/Mustang community.
Putting together a list and a plan to have the car back up to speed by Christmas!

So you swapped in SRF in the rental? I love it!!! Did you swap in DOT 3 afterwards? Was that a 2018 GT with performance pack?

Rick, base 2017 automatic. Stock fluid is DOT4 now but was 18000 miles old so we bled and topped off. Car had 235/55-18 PZero Nero all seats tires and stock pads on the 14” four piston front brakes. We tried Pagids from Boss brembos but the new pad shape is 10mm wider so no go. We did add a performance tune by Mile Rousch of Mid Atlantic Performance to sharpen up the shifts and make a little more power. I will post best lap video tonight it’s a 2:24.xx so surprisingly won’t be the bottom of the VIR times.

Hard to take photos when it was so cold. Lots of “Offs”.
High 30s to low 40s made soft tires not so soft.
Any throttle on lap one would break the car loose.
Sometimes before lap one. Don’t ask.
