Its a addiction thats difficult to kick!. At the moment I am the most under-powered car in my club (Kg/hp) so to keep up and Pass my buddies, I need all the braking, grip and get up and go I can get. Before when I was running semislicks it put me in a slower category and I managed to stack up a lot of wins.... Now the trophy intake has slowed dramatically....

Maybe next year with some 315's and Apex 18x11's.....

We're going to change your ID to Tinker. :D

Tri-bar, congrats on what looks like an amazing build and car. I'm jealous.

Question, what do you or others think about using your suspension on a true daily driver, as in 365/rain/snow/daily commute to work duty? Too much?

I have no real issues with daily driving. Even in the rain. Snows a no go though.

The set up listed above is after a long list of parts that I have tried and tested .

Caster/Camber plates.
Roush/KW - Coil overs

Bilstein HD Strut/Shocks with Maximum Motorsport road and track springs.
Bilstein HD struts with the front MM springs and Jri rear Coil overs with 200lbs (Was really nice)

Old post Tribar, but just picked up the Hotchkis UCA. You said you replaced the rod end? Do you have a link to which one you replaced it with? And did you swap out the diff bushing to poly or another rod end? Thanks

Fun read and Mr. Tinker really should be your new moniker, ha. If you are fast on 275s , you will see dramatic improvement going to 305s or 315s. We often tend to get too technical in our answers , yet with a Mustang speed is a simple case of relieving a heavy car of it's tiny tires. The footprint on the ground can go from from close to 10 inches to close to 12 with a jump from 275 to 315. No offense, but all the cool stuff you have done to your car, this is probably the least expensive , overall, and the most effective to increase your speed. Four more inches on the payment is probably worth 2 seconds, imho. Might get in on the Apex special buy, then buy your tires in the future --- could work out well as there are a couple of sleeper donuts that are just now getting feedback in the market!

I agree. Once all the stuff is over with my Wife's passing. Wider wheels and tires are on the list of things to do.

Man, so terribly sorry to hear of your wife's passing and though not the conventional comfort, hopefully you can find a little joy and solace chatting with fellow Mustang friends on TMO.

God Bless and we all will keep you and your family in our thoughts!

@Tri-bar, I can identify, my best friend and wife of 32 years passed in August after a 7 year battle with cancer. It is a rough ride to say the very least. Counselling, friends, family and a car hobby to think about have all helped me get through this. With time it will get better, but it's a slow process with lots of ups and downs, I think I turned the corner in the last month but too soon to know for sure. I hope you have lots of support and aren't afraid to call on those folks that care. If I can be of any help just PM me.
