All,

I just picked up my '18 GT PP1 last weekend. This car is decades ahead of my '14 GT, Im beyond happy. I was already signed up for two track days with the '14 before I traded for my '18. My question is, have you all heard of the "upcoming" recall for the clutch and shifter? Ive seen a few guys on youtube have some issues, one of which had his entire tranny blow up. Should I back out of the track days and wait for the new parts to come in June?

Thanks!

I have ‘17 GT PP 6spd. Took it to an HPDE weekend the first of April and it did GREAT! I hadn’t heard about the recall though. Is it only for the ‘18 or are other years affected too?

Below is a video I came across the day before I picked mine up lol. I believe it's just the 2018's twin disk clutch. Apparently the gen 3 coyote is making more than the clutch can handle? Supposedly Ford is manufacturing new clutches and shifters and will be in around June...

It’s covered under warranty so go for it.

My first 18gt lasted 2 weeks of normal daily driving before the clutch let go and obliterated the trans, after 2 months of fighting ford i got a replacement vehicle and so far so good at 4k miles
