Hi guys/gals,

I have a GT350 track the car at Mosport (local track in Canada) the car runs great but I am looking to drop the lap times a bit this season with 1 track day remaining. I have been looking through the forums and am unsure the route to go that would offer the most cost effective gains.

Currently the car has FP springs, MM camber plates, R rear sway bar, running R camber settings. I will be switching to Cup 2's next season. I wish the car had a little more power but I think adding a supercharger will be too much for the track. Looking at suspension/weight savings to make up the time.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Forget the supercharger--you will be fighting additional front end weight + heat management issues as well.
Lap timer / data & video system would be probably the most useful thing you could do, especially if combined with capable coaching. This isn't cheap but will reap the most rewards with any level of modifications.
That being said, the one thing I hear a lot for the S550 that I don't see on your list is/are BMR rear cradle lockouts; helps eliminate "squidge" in the rear suspension.

Free weight savings = remove your passenger seat if not taking a passenger or coach.
350R rear seat delete?

I have been looking into the BMR lockouts, would headers be worth the investment? Tires single highhandedly will help the most (Next season). Harness' I believe will help I was moving around tremendously. All other advice would be great! thanks !!

I run long tubes with a Lund tune and E85. Makes over 500 at the wheels with the combo. Keep it N/A and just learn the car. Very capable as us with just suspension tuning for the track and stickier tires. AIM solo 2 is s great tool for lap time improvement. I find power is not the issue with this car.

Lightweight wheels with sticky tires will make the biggest difference. A roll bar and harnesses before adding power. Be safe out there!

I dont have e85 available in my area unfortunately! Would removing the cats yield any beneficial gain?

Any recommendations on wheels ? I was trying to look up the square setup link you posted in another thread with the N4s wheels but the link didn't re-direct me.

Harness/bar 100%!

The long tubes with high flow cats will give you a nice bump when tuned. E85 will yield more but the higher flow pipes will still help. No cats vs high flow cats is not a big difference from my understanding with it N/A.

Don't look to add power. The car has plenty. Light weight wheels, good rubber and brake upgrades, pads and good ducting will go a long way to drop your lap time. Seat time, Seat time and more seat time. just my $.02

I couldnt agree more on seat time. Will be looking to grab light wheels and rubber in the off season. Any recommendations on wheels (bang for buck).

The track I run at is very high speeds with long sweeping corners. Only one section is tight where I get a slight rub in the rear inner fender. Brake pad recommendations for a good street/track pad? Also Ill have to google good brake ducts.

I havent noticed wheel hop but is BMR the best solution for rear cradle lock out? diff bushings? or is that a waste on the road course?

Thanks for all the help guys!

I think pads will warrant the most help in the braking department but to be honest the track i run at uses very little brakes its a very high speed course with long sweeping corners. Suspension/Tires will be the most important with the power to get you down the long straights. (will be focusing on improving the suspension)

Any recommendations for harness'?

I personally don't think the car needs more power. If you are running the OEM GT350 wheels/ tires set up, switching to lighter wheels and/ or Michelin's Sport Cup 2 tires will allow you to push the car further and go faster. You'l need more camber than the R recommendations though, these SC2's tires go very fast on these heavy cars if not enough camber.

What would be recommended camber ? The car see's 4-5 track days dont want to re-align the car for each track day. I have MM plates up front do i need anything in the rear to adjust rear camber? When you say 'go very fast do you mean speed? or burn off?'

I will be buying tires in the off season just looking at what I can do prior to my next track event sept 20 to gain some speed
