I suppose I could add quite a bit of track experience and detail the many modifications to my 2007 Saleen Parnelli Jones Edition with the Saleen Supershaker and fully forged 302 motor. But that would be time consuming. In 2007 Saleen made 500 Parnelli Jones Editions, all Grabber Orange, commemorating Parnelli's #15 Mustang 1970 TransAm Championship. Of the 500 Saleen PJs about 25 are Supershakers, of which mine is one. My horspower is about the same as the one in the OP's referenced post and is 3800lb with driver, square Apex 18x11, 315 Hoosiers, NASA Time Trial......

Wow, that sounds like a heck of a car. If my experience with the one I drove is any indication, it must a blast to drive. Looks like a good bit of camber up front too and some aero..

I've taken my Saleen Racecraft to Summit Point for a few HPDE events. Here's a link:

I overtake a pesky M3 at 20:50, and the next lap a couple rods to decided to give up. I'm almost done with a few upgrades: forged shortblock and couple more. Should be back out there in the spring... Sigh...

Really unfortunate, I'm sorry to hear! I'm surprised. I thought Saleen upgrades their short blocks, if not all fully forged. Was it "stock" and stock boost or modified from Saleen spec?

My Saleen is a 2008 Racecraft. Saleen installs their supercharger and larger injectors to the stock 4.6 Ford block, they don't do anything to the engine (other than software tuning). They also install their springs and shocks, and a few silly things to the interior (embroidered headrests, 180mph speedo, leather wheel, etc.). It was a nice daily driver.

I was stupid and had JDM up the boost (12 psi on a stock 4.6 shortblock is NOT a good idea). The car was a lot of fun. If I would have stayed on the street, she'd probably be fine. But even HPDE's are rough on cars. She's almost back together, and actually runs and drives. Forged shortblock, T56 Magnum, 3.73's with a Torsen diff., brembo brakes (yes, the little 4 pistons ones), MCS coilovers with 400/225 springs. Probably too much car for me... I'll be back on the track in the spring.
