APR GT-250 Trunk Wing Support

I'm installing the GT-250 wing and remember seeing a post showing trunk support bars welded under the lid. I can't seem to find the post anymore and was wondering if anyone had a picture or further information on a way to support the APR wing (shy of frame mounting which isn't an option with this application). Any help is appreciated.

I haven't done so on my my GT350 but I welded in some 1" square tube steel in the trunk to make supports for the G-Stream wing on my American Iron car (96 Cobra). Nothing fancy, just some common sense bracing with hood pins welded to it and shimmed to get the deck lid height just right. Even with my "little" Cobra R style wing that I had before, it was creating enough downforce to dent my trunk lid. The G-Stream makes about three times as much downforce with the same amount of drag.

I think I’ll stick with the FP350s version. Any idea what size/material/type of bracing that is? Is it just standard piping?

Why I'm paying attention to all of this is that I may try to get APR to sell me a GTC-300 with uprights the same or very close (Infinity G35 model, I think will work) to the FP350S GT-250 spacing, use the trunk mounts, but make some more streetable lower mounts.

I have a spare, no spoiler, trunk lid, even the correct color, to do this.

Nice. I wish they would sell the uprights for the GT4 spoiler. They appear to be lower profile as well

I ended up having the bars tig welded in. I am having a hard time posting pictures here so you can see a pic on my Instagram page, user name LAPTIMZ

APR will make a GTC-300 wing in the S550 spacing and sell FP350S trunk mount kit separately. The uprights would still have to be custom made. Haven't asked if they would do something.

Here is the instruction for the S550 GT-250 install that APR sent me. You can see they put an aluminum plate inside part of the trunk as well as the carbon plates that are visible. I have a couple more questions out to them. I think one of their off the shelf GTC wings will match up to the S550 trunk mounts. Then just some pedestals to make it work.View attachment 2015 mustang GT-250 wing installation.pdf
