The mind is a terrible thing to waste. Perhaps this idea was born out of boredom. I just don't get it but I'm more of a traditionalist. Still trying to figure out why they shove Chevy blocks in a hot rod Ford.

The oil pan and cost. Rear sumps on Chevy engines made swaps easier. Chevies are also cheaper. I believe there were/are over 30 million small block chevys out there.
The power of supply and demand and the path of least resistance make some decisions easier but not always right.....Final cost will also be another consideration in any project.

It was Fords car in 1968. Since then the owner(s) can do what they want.
Would I want that combo? Nope. I have a strong attraction to the sound of an American V-8.

Muscle car and V-8 rumble.
They all just seem to go together.

To answer Grant, how could he do it? Don’t know. Mother likely abandoned him at a tender age. What else could it be?
