Does anyone on here still have stock struts with a bit of camber? What're the widest wheels & tires you can run up front? I'm running -2.3 deg and looking at wider wheels and tires for next season. Currently running square 18x9.5" 40 offset with no issues up to 285/35/18. I want to go to 19x10.5" square with 295/35/19 or 305/35/19 but I'm worried about rubbing. Reading other threads, it's mixed reviews. Some rub, some don't. I'd like to think that if I go with 35 offset I will clear the strut and should have no fender rubbing given the camber. Anyone have experience with that size wheels and camber plates on stock struts?

Thanks in advance!

Lots of people using 11" wide Apex or Forgestars with stock or non-offset struts. Just gotta use long studs and the right spacers for your specific setup. Camber plates and bolts can be used to fine tune or gain clearance.

Thanks!

Are spacers a must regardless of offset? I would like to avoid spacers if possible.

Also, do you know of any other brands that have been proven by others? Forgestar and Apex both seem to do a lot of track testing on Mustangs and have Mustang-specific wheels so it's easier to trust their fit/specs but they are unfortunately outside my price range... here in Canada, I'd be looking at a $3k-4k set of wheels in those sizes by the time it gets to my door.

No spacers equals no rotation front to back. Different offsets are required.
Exactly. Use the Vorshlag Forgestar offsets for no spacers, or ~ET+53 to be able to rotate.

Not sure how you're getting to $4k or even 3...unless you mean *with* tires?

Back to one of your original questions...+35 should work for 10.5" wide and stock struts.

I’m happy to do the math! Just need someone to list a setup (wheel offset and spacers).

I definitely want to be able to rotate. What offsets work for rear vs front?

$3k is without tires... $1700 for the wheels + $200 brokerage fees + at least $200 shipping to Canada = $2100 X 1.3 exchange rate for Canadian dollars + 2% exchange fees = $2800 Canadian dollars + 15% sales tax = $3220. If the wheel isn’t built in the US, there will also be duties. Not sure if Forgestar or Apex build in the US.

But on the serious side, You did not say what Stang you have... May buddies S550 has the SVE 350S wheels 19x10 and 19x11. With 295/30-19 and 315/30-19 tires... just needed a 10mm spacer up front.... With 275/35-19 up front, he was ok with out a spacer.

With the Apex 18x11 wheels. I have a 15mm front spacer so I can use 320/650-18 Conti slicks on my Boss.

Look at LMR. I'm running their R350 wheels for track wheels and it didn't cost anywhere near that, it was $1149USD, $1538.95 Cdn delivered to my door. When they ship to Canada the price you pay is all in, including tax, brokerage, the whole 9 yards so you know up front what it's going to cost. I have two sets of their wheels and they've been fine.

Grant, Please don't get me started on taxes...I realize they're necessary, but there is a tyme when enough is enough. One guy running for Gov this yr wants to impose a "state vehicle" tax. All state towns and cities have property taxes that include vehicles.( I paid over $800 for my 6 yr Boss this yr) Isn't that double taxation?? I guess not, since income is taxed by the feds and state here. That old tax poem some of us remember keeps getting longer and longer ....... Sorry for the rant....back to your regular TMO programming............ http://www.yourdailypoem.com/listpoem.jsp?poem_id=337

Sorry, I have a 2012 Boss 302. What did your buddy have for camber?
My understanding is that S550's fit wider wheels without modifications but I could be wrong.

Thanks JDee! I just looked at them and I like them. Do you have their staggered set with 10" fronts and 11" rears? Are you using stock struts and/or camber? Offset is really high on the 11" rears so I would have to stock to the 10" if I want a square set I can rotate.

And I thought *I* lived in taxifornia. Thanks for the explanation.

No problem. Yea, no shortage of taxes up here... The last tax - 15% sales - is a bit lower in other provinces. 5% of it is federal and 10% is provincial so the 10% can change across Canada

Taxes are good... they are very necessary... if they actually got used efficiently! Cut out corruption, complacency, inefficiency, bureaucracy, etc. and we could do far more with half of what we pay now. It's painful to pay all that money and see little change. I'd almost rather pay more and see the gov revenue actually put to good use. But I digress...

Thanks for sharing the poem. I hadn't come across this one before and quite "enjoyed" reading it.

Mine too!! Red 2012 with torsen and recaros.... I fit 320/650-18 Contis ok with 15mm spacers, offset cortex setup and -3.3 camber.... Will downsize too 315/30-18 R7s next time. Love my Apex 18x11 wheels for a square setup..

If gov't didn't receive all this free tax money, they might tighten their belts a little more, like the rest of us when higher bills start coming in.....domesticpower you are so right taxes are needed to sustain our lifestyles. but what irks me is the rise in taxes EVERY year. Why can't gov't learn to live within a budget like we have no choice to do???...again , this not TMO related .....sorry
