Tyme, with that '69 Boss under you back in the day, You MUST have been THE MAN!!!!..My '68 442 was not even in the same ball park.............Today, tho, be careful, we are on the same playing field...

68 Olds weighted in around 3700 pounds. I think my Boss was about 3200 curb weight. Olds = 350 HP - Boss = 290 HP advertised. Can't ever recall running up against a 442 but I bet it would be very close in the quarter mile.

Back in that tyme frame (late 60's to 70), everybody and their brother had a hot Rod to sell you. Most of them were legit! Until Gov't restrictions tightened up and all was lost for a while.....don't even want to mention what the Mustang was at that tyme. My '68 442 had a 400CI, but as you said was much heavier than your Boss. I think your Boss would have got me.
