Installed their springs and cradle lock kit. Worked great. Still waiting for the diff cooler to be install.Well after talking with James from Full Tilt Boogie Racing, I feel very comfortable with the diff cooler kit and their IRS products for the S550. Well in depth discussion of the IRS parts in their videos, explaining the mechanics of it all. Great customer service and in 20 days, I should be saying great products!
Having so much time on my hands, I've been trying to watch videos about oil viscosity and its composition. I believe I'm going to step away from Amsoil (send in a sample for testing) and goto Motul. With the 5w-30 engine oil, 75w-140 (gets hot in Texas and diffs are known to over heat) and lastly RBF 660. However, I was reading someones post about the difference it is against SRF. That's whats currently in the car now, however can someone explain why the RBF is the worst of both worlds when it come to dry/wet boiling points?
Tommy the car has already a trans cooler. But it is smallI'm definitely going to run 5w-50 on track days and 5w-30 for everyday usage. Reading threads, watching tutorial videos on oil viscosity and the reasoning behind running such a weight has opened my eyes of understanding. I'm not as much of a hard driver as others, but seat time will get me there. Being proactive to resolve issues before they arise as much as possible is my second priority to seat time.
I've been looking to do a transmission and oil cooler after the first of the year, so we will see what's out there for the car.
I was hoping to come back to Cresson on the 17th and 18th, but I don't think Ill make it. I believe there is one in December. I need to get some more time at Cresson before I hit COTA...lol
