This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

If you're buying the parts yourself, fordparts(dot)com has a 20% discount thru the end of year for orders over $150. Code is parts20., useable three times. Shipping seems to be free (was for my order). Use dealer of your choice. (Dealer's own online prices might be lower than their prices on Ford's website but the disc./free shipping should beat it)

Few parts showed up. Headers are 1-7/8 stainless and intake is a factory 2018 piece.

OPG/crank gear will arrive today and Ford parts should arrive tomorrow.

Head is at machine shop and I will be dropping off the new valve springs on Monday for install onto the head. When I dropped it off, a guy took a brief look and didnt think the valve was damaged in any way.6dcb143d820216741272af4086979eae.jpgb65bd23a91d22ff4accd7b0b15c315a9.jpg

Dropped valve springs off at machine shop today. All parts are in from Ford. Just waiting on the call from machine shop to pick up the head and hope to have the car back maybe this weekend. Or Monday.

Got the head checked and valve springs replaced. Intake valve was perfectly straight so I really lucked out.

Got it back last night but couldn't really get on it at all due to traffic.

It is very (almost excessively) loud so I may quiet it down somehow.

Had the broken valve spring (and all the others) replaced and added:

2018 IM
Texas Speed LTH
GT350 CAI
OPG/Crank gear
Tune revision.

Wow that makes some noise now. Happy to see it back in your hands though, good luck out there!

Well got car back together and drove to work today. It definitely picked up power. Though roads were a bit wet, I was able to tickle it up to about 6500 rpm with a huge grin afterward.

Now, of course I have a new issue. Last track time, I was getting 3rd gear grind on downshift. Now I'm getting it intermittently on quick upshifts or shifts above 5k rpm.

I'm gonna swap fluids (just did that back in May) and see what happens, but I fear synchro issue since every other gear is fine, so it probably isn't the clutch (newish hyper single) or shifter (MGW Race Spec).

Ugh.
