Goodyear faster than re71?Track: Buttonwillow CW13
Date: 12/11/2018
Best Time: 1:53.7
Source: AiM SOLO and Virb
Car: 2017 GT350R
Tires: 305 /325 Goodyear F1 Supercar 3R
Wheels: aftermarket, same size as stock
Suspension: Camber Plates (3.5 front / 2.0 rear)
Note: made a couple of mistakes (Bus Stop and Sunrise) and caught a car during this lap (couldn't track out and had to lift), so 51s is definitely doable......
not sure, never done a back to back on these. They wear at about the same rate that I know. RE71R prefers cooler weather (compared to 3r).Goodyear faster than re71?

I'm still learning the track -- this was my second full session driving there, ever, in any car. Please be gentle!
Ben, very nicely done for your first time out! My only suggestions for you the next time out is don't be afraid to get up on the curbing and stay flat out through the esses! you lifted right before the last one to the left and if you hadn't you'd easily be at a 1:49 or better!
Again though fantastic job and thanks for making the trek all the way down to our event, it was a pleasure having you there!

I definitely would not try that first. coming out of Esses is where 80% of bad crashes occurs at BRP (coming out of Sunset also, but they are all relative minor fender bender due to lower speed). Over the years, I've seen over 10 cars totalled there. I've seen 1 fatality there 3 years ago.
I would try to be flat every other place first before pushing the last 2/10th coming out of Esses.
Understood, and I appreciate the advice.
I suspect the left exiting the esses will require a breathe off the throttle at entry to get the car to point, but it may depend on tires and track conditions. It's a 110 MPH entry in the GT4, so it's not one I'm going to charge into and hope for the best!
Nice work, that is the top time there so far! Finally found some 19" Pirelli slicks....and again reminded why I love them so!! New PB @ NCM Motorsports Park
