I'm using the GT350R Street car as a surrogate to test some stuff for the Race Car. Going with a combo of AIM DL and VBox for Data and video -- here's shakedown from Sebring last week. Steering wheel center position and direction needs changing as well as brake force sensitivity:

 
The data and graphics look good to me.

Test fitted the LH Brake duct. Works well. Took a lot of time to fabricate. Plan to fit RH and then road test, followed by a track weekend. Already identified several mods for v2, which will go on the Race Car.

Hey Nick -

Car is looking great! (2) questions for you:

  1. Given the tight fitment of the ARH headers, did you end up sticking with the OEM engine mounts?
  2. Did you post any additional details on the mods to the airbox? I browsed through the thread and didn't see anything. Wondering if you made the modifications yourself or if you sourced from somewhere?

@honeybadger I stuck with the stock engine mounts with the headers. I think you could drop a bit further and frame rail clearance would improve. Need to check steering shaft.

I cut the enclosed air box cover from a sheet of Alexander and attached with nuts and bolts.

Is that cover acrylic plexiglass or lexan (polycarbonate)? I'm getting ready to make my cover and I'm thinking lexan would be the better choice since it has temp rating up to 240 degrees and is easier to cut?

Any chance you could post a pic or two when you have time? I'm going to embark on this soon and it would be great to see what you've done. It doesn't look as simple as it first seemed it would be, there's a lot of gaskets and stuff going on with that open air box.

Thanks for the pics, so you cut most of the rubber seal off but left a bit to seal to the lexan by the looks of that? My air filter sticks up a bit over the rim of the box but I think I can just do an interference fit on it, or maybe adjust it down a bit? Doesn't look like yours has that problem.
