Our little Brighton Blue Boss Boy , Tymeslayer , lives in an area that gets around 38 inches of snow each year, whereas Domestic Power gets buried with 60 inches in Halifax , Nova Scotia. This year , all of us in the Omaha area are wondering if Santa thought we were all bad boys in 2018 , as we are already over 50 inches and it is still snowing!! I definitely am going to plan on some track time South of here next year, because at this rate the snow won't melt by the time we have our first NASA race in April? Aaargh, I want to get on track , and starting to think we need to get our heads together for 2020 and have a mass exodus of Boss , GT 350 and GT Mustang owners South. Be a fun trip to a warmer clime and it could be a TMO get together , since we know everyone on this Forum are warm and congenial folks?! Jump in here if you think we should consider this " Flight from Cabin Fever " idea?

Me. There's lots of snow in the Tahoe basin right now and I'm might go check it out on Sunday.

Be happy you're not in the Sierras near Tahoe right now. I bet Mustang on the Bay will still see some snow in the Mountains and that's in June.

Byron,

See the last post here, and that was almost a month ago...
https://www.teamshelby.com/topic/94655-2019-snakes-on-the-lake-cruise/

There will absolutely be snow on the perimeter ridges of Lake Tahoe come June 22nd.

Several ski resorts will still be open for the 4th of July:

Will post up SATL 10 before Tax Day next month.

Best,

Jim

We are getting up here in Minnesota, 40 inches in Feb alone. Got 4 more inches last weekend and supposed to get a foot this weekend. I retired a couple of years ago so at least I don't have to commute in this crud anymore. The Boss is snuggled under a couple of covers in a warm garage surrounded by shovels and a snowblower. Just another winter in the Bold North.

I was in the Reno area one June and we took the drive up to Tahoe and not only was the road surrounded by a wall of snow, the Snow poles look to be about six feet tall. That's so the plows know where the road ends. Should give one an idea of how much snow the area gets.

We got over a foot of snow in about 8 hours on Monday of this week. A lake effect snow streamer sat over top of us all day and just poured snow down. This streamer was only about 15 miles wide but until the wind changed from south to west it just sat there and dumped white stuff. We get a lot of that kind of snow here and as often as not the weather dudes can't even predict it, they just form and then disappear, sometimes they do that for days. December and January were pretty soft, February was brutally cold and a lot of snow and March starts out the same....in like a lion....?

I'm for it, but then i would have to spend half a day to dig the trailer out of 3' of snow. Can i just haul all this white stuff to your house? I am going to have a mud mess here this next week.. By the way, Bill just lives a couple miles up the road from me and we are in the same boat as some of guys, it's depressing looking out the window at 2' of snow on the ground.

i know there are plenty of tracks in Texas running this time of year. Looked at COTA, it would be awesome to run there, but that price.....

Hallett near Tulsa , Oklahoma , and Motorsports Ranch near Ft. Worth are two tracks that usually have events in early spring or late winter , and pricing is usually not bad ( often NASA or SCCA events ). Hallett has an event the end of this month, though you and I may not be able to get our trailers out of the drifts, ha?

Take off your slicks and put a snow plow spoiler on you cars.

OK or TX next year would be cool but if I'm going to TX I'd almost rather run COTA. I know the cost won't come cheap but it's on my bucket list.

Have to admit COTA is on my bucket list too. NASA runs there a couple of times this year and likely will be there at least once next year , and that is substantially less than some of the Track program offerings. Usually later in the year , but for a bucket list track, may be better to view all options?

By the way, TMS, my friend, there is a NASA event on May 3-5th at COTA, so you won't have to wait too long to fill out your bucket list. That should be a perfect time of year in Texas, a nice Springtime run, so likely temps would be pleasant?

Yea, I'm sick of winter in eastern SD too. We're in the middle of forcasted 6-10". And its heavy wet stuff.
They're using big snow blowers to clear snow from the edge of ditches on state and US highways to keep roads from drifting in so fast.
I was in Austin/San Antonio last week -- sure wish I could convince the other half to move back to TX, or at least OK.

Pretty funny , and by the way isn't your wife from Nebraska? Speaking of snow jobs, you pulled a pretty big one on Britt when you married her, ha,ha.

That must be a Boss 32 ---as in degrees!

Should be snowing here by this tyme tomorrow. A blizzard they tell me. I'm just hoping she doesn't blow her load here because I'm hoping it really let's lose over Omaha. I hear they need the moisture!
