Stoked that Formula One is back competing and won't give away the qualifying results, but will say they were quite interesting to me concerning some drivers --- wow, the excitement of that vague statement is overwhelming? Have run Sebring twice with the Panoz Racing School ( what a special track) , but being there for the 12 hours is a bucket list event for me! Actually got to announce a couple of races there , years back , when the Professional Announcer did not show up. That is another story , but had a great time made some friends who went on to become quite successful.

Nascar is in Cali, so wondering if some of our vast West Coast TMO members are going tome that event!

Yes, excited about all three events , as one of those sickos who likes all kinds of racing!!

Saw the FIA 1000 miles at Sebring last night. Having never had the pleasure of tracking my car at night, I found it a bit unnerving watching the track view from inside the car. Especially near the end in the rain. I don't know how these guys do it.

Plus the weather is nice hear in NorCal so it’s going to be a great weekend.

Weather in Sebring is like it has been here ( heck we have entire towns shut off as they are completely surrounded by water ) with 40 minutes behind the pace car before real racing began. VoodooBoss sent Cali weather down to Melbourne , as climaxic climatic conditions for F1 Qualifying. Should make things solid for Nascar , but record crowd turnout in Central Florida is testing the limits of umbrellas today!

I got my fix the other night by binge-watching 8 episodes of Formula One - Drive to Survive on Netflix. What a great documentary on all of the teams, the drivers, and each race in 2018. Perfect prelude to the F1 opener this weekend.

I know what you mean. I attended the 1998 24 hours of Le Mans and could not believe my eyes. All of the best lap times are run in the middle of the night, I assume because of cooler ambient temperatures resulting in more horsepower and more aero downforce.

Like him or not, absolutely Kyle Busch has 200 wins total from the three top Nascar Series!! Carving through cars after a penalty towards the end was a tribute to his talent and skill. Not a big fan of his attitude in the past, but his driving genes are unreal!

Totally agree Bill. He's not as big a dick as he used to be, I credit Coach Gibbs with turning his head around and getting him headed in the right direction. Gibbs always had a rep for being able to handle difficult athletes, right? Only drawback is he's in a Toyota!

That one pass he made on his way to the front was unreal, he just seems to have incredible situational awareness. Either that or a spotter who's got the quickest thumb and mouth in the business!

Agree with Tracy, Joe obviously has had plenty of influence , but I think marriage to Samantha and the birth of his young son , has been an even stronger calming affect. I know my lovely bride of 42 years has made it possible for me to do so many things I may not have attempted on my own. Gotta love the woman, she is the one who pushed me to race 38 years ago!!!!

A friend of mine was telling me about this series this morning. I'll put it on my watch list.

Just finished binging the whole season over the last 2 days. Awesome documentary. The production quality is extremely high in 4K with incredible audio too. Can’t wait for season 2, F1 is apparently pressuring all teams to participate to a greater degree, but especially Mercedes and Ferrari. I am motivated to buy the F1 online streaming package after watching this for the 2019 season.
