Ford Airbag recall guy (Jose) got here about 8:45 and was done by 9:15...I am now airbag recall compliant!!!...:D

DAMN! And I thought *I* was dragging my feet. Got mine done day after labor day this year. Having the tech come out was nice. Didn't have to bring both cars separately and got to see how everything was done. The smaller TRW? units and the larger vents seem to make more sense.

I got tired of the near daily mailings...for two cars!

If I'm on a soapbox...I also don't believe I'll ever need an airbag or ever have one deploy while I'm driving. I think it's crap that they're mandated and illegal to turn off (in most cases) without an insane amount of legwork. I like to sit close to the wheel and usually drive with both hands on it.

I looked at the stats for how many lives were 'saved' by airbags...and the bulk of them are IDIOTS that WEREN'T WEARING THEIR SEATBELTS!

Take those numbers away...and the 'lives saved' is really small for the massive cost and potential hazard that they are.

Grant, I hear you way more than you think!..How did our parents and grandparents survive with no forms of protection while driving?Their cars were mostly under 150HP and there was no texting or cell talking while driving...now the opposite is true and we are paying the price.

Yeah...don't get me started on the phone use. It's weird how I've become even more of a defensive driver than I used to be. Just out of necessity with all the 'new' unsafe habits people have.

The older folks have their limitations for sure..not me, of course...:D...But younger ones can't seem to drive a mile without texting about nothing, anything, you name it.................texting is worse than yaking on the phone, since it takes more of your attention away.

Think about it....How many racers are texting or yaking on their phones when they're RACING....NONE...why is normal driving so different? SPEED????..Let's up the ante(speed Limit) to unlimited and get rid of the idiots.................oops,there may be few on this forum that may disagree with that..............Just Kidding................

Started early on the Christmas lights since it was in the 60's and sunny yesterday. Got the entire roof line done but it took 4-1/2 hours and countless trips up and done a 24' extension ladder. My calves are tight as hell. But the Wench rewarded me with a nice seafood mac-n-cheese dinner complete with a ice cold Grey Goose martini. I love that woman!
Should be in the 70's today and would love to get the Boss out but still dealing with a rough idling issue which comes and goes as it pleases. I really need to work on her. No codes so I'm going at it blindly. Plan on changing out the coils and plugs to start.
I should work on the Christmas lights since the conditions are perfect and I know it's going to take at least 6-7 full days to get the display finished. The reveal usually starts the night of Thanksgiving so I have my work cut out for me.
And the Bowery Boys (neighbors) want me to get out for 18 holes too.

Another weekend of too much too do and never enough tyme.

Tyme, Hope you get that golf game in while the weather still cooperates.Friday and Saturday stayed in the 30's around here.Today near 50 and low to mid 50's Monday, which is the normal for this tyme of year.I'm hoping to clear up the mountain of leaves that have blown in the driveway since last week Tuesday another cold front slides thru and we may be stuck in the 20's Wednesday. As far as Christmas lites go...I never took down the lites Son put up in the front widow last year, so all I have worry about is the tree, after Thanksgiving, of course.Giants and Jets today to see who's the worst of New York. It would be ironic but fitting if it ended in a tie.......
