Does anyone have suggestions for performance shops that know how to do track specific mods.....ie camber plates, alignment, possibly more in depth on my shelby the more i get into racing?

basically no firestone or dealers. My dealer sales guy i trust says theres mastertech at their dealer that works on the GM’s cobrajet and other peoples cars but i’d rather go to someone thats all they do.

Its probably further than you want to go but there is a Mustang specific shop just NW of Milwaukee. https://www.brewcityboost.com/

There are two new 30 something owners that are ok guys and are trying to make it a much bigger shop. But the original owner, engine builder, race car fabricator Marv is still there. He does excellent work. He's also booked weeks, sometimes months in advance. But thats because he's well known and does everything right.

Are you on this (I'm guessing no because I haven't seen a similar question) http://www.chicagolandmustang.com/forums/forum.php

If not, sign up and ask those guys. Its not as busy of a forum as it once was but there are still some diehards that maybe could help.

ive been to other sites and i value peoples opinions here more than others. Mustang 6g is terrible so i came here. I’ll check it out.

I would check with Olsen Motorsport. I haven't personally used them as of yet but heard great reviews.

They are JRZ US importer so I'll to deal with them when mine will need to be rebuilt.

i called them since they are 5min from me and they will def work on the car and do a “race alignment” plus change out caster camber plates. Going to try them out since i want to see all the race porsches there lol

Interested in hearing your experiences with them. I live about a hour from their shop.

trying to get the car in quick. I ordered the vorshlog CC plates so once they get here i will schedule the replacement and true “race alignment” which they said takes 6 hrs and includes weight balance, but i dont have coil overs so it should dramatically drop the labor. I really hope it works out because they sounded extremely knowledgable and didnt bat an eye about it not being a porsche. they are 6-8weeks out when its may-oct

those are definitely things you can do yourself. buy some alignment plates from summit and floor jack and some hand tools. pretty easy stuff. might be better that you learn these things anyway since you may discover that a certain toe or camber doesnt work well and needs to be changed. may vieos on how to do these setups . just takes patients and simple math. something to consider....

i like this idea, but i only have 500 miles on the car and need to get a real feel for it.
