If some of you are curious, yes, I like to kick dead horses. But being that this car and its issues are new to me and my search results have been *somewhat* inconclusive, I'm looking for some help.

-Ticking/tapping noise mostly from the front passenger side of engine
-Most noticeable at hot idle and almost exclusively at idle
-Seems to be rhythmic/consistent with idle speed(it's not a sporadic noise)
-No change at all if AC is on or off
-My car is a 13 with stretchy belt(no tensioner/idler)
-Drives normal otherwise and feels like it has normal power
-Please tell me it's normal or you have had the exact same noise for the entirety if your ownership :D

So back in the day, FoMoCo issued a TSB on this & the Fix was to install a kit that included a new A/C drive belt, a bracket or 2 & a tensioner for the new belt.

IIRC LMC has a nice Ford Mustang TSB library, you should be able to find it there.

Funny but a lot of owners noticed this ticking noise after their first oil change, but it’s not related to servicing.

Good luck & let us know what you find.

Yeah my GT makes that noise as well, I'm not sure how loud yours is but mine is pretty audiable when beside walls or in the garage, other than that I don't hear it. I've never had any particles in the oil or the oil filter. Also it's lasted 4 years of torture on track so If something was gonna let go it should have by now.

That noise in the video sounds to me like an exhaust tick. Exhaust/header gasket leaking or possibly a loose spark plug?
