I always thought it was to let you know if you were hitting a curb. I wonder if it has any aero effect at all? After recently putting a tow hook on front I left the whole tray off just to see what happens. It's just such a pain to take off and on....
I'm not a big fan of the rubber blade and will be putting a splitter there soon anyhow, but that panel helps direct airflow through your radiator

So you’ll trade one aero device that accelerates underbody air for another aero device that accelerates underbody air? 🤔

But you’re right about the radiator part. ;)

If it's more effective, why not? 😎

I'm hoping for more cooling air in, also vents for air out.
‘If’ being the key word there. More so if you’re considering effects on cooling.

I run both. Though the air dam from ‘11-‘12 isn’t rubber, or easily separable from the tray.
