Did you get that GoPro time by stopping at full seconds and advancing the start and finish one frame at a time? At 30 frames/second, that's 0.03 second resolution . . .

I didnt touch anything for settings, I had wanted to overlay my aim data but screwed that up, so I just overlayed whatever internal GPS data the gorpo had recorded. I was actually surprised the gorpo speed data was accurate, normally when I turn that thing on in my car before a session, it doesn't lock in correctly and speeds and stuff are all out of whack.

What I'm getting at is that you can determine lap times straight from GoPro video to much better than the whole seconds that the video actually displays on replay. The GoPro's internal clock is easily accurate enough for timing laps (I actually verified my own GoPro's timing against my computer's clock). It's just a bit tedious to get finer than full-second resolution out of it - you do have to count frames one by one and divide by the frame rate - but it is do-able.

1:49.149 at CMP yesterday. I would have been faster if I’d remembered to downshift to 3rd for the carousel. The SN95 did give me a point by on the next lap.

Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course: 1:43.9
50-60 deg F across all sessions and dry

First time on any track. First time really pushing the car. The final day of class was all 20-minute sessions split between 2 groups (personal cars and class cars). I was dropping ~2 seconds/session after warming up my tires...and myself each session. I can see many places to improve lines and increase speed/smoothness. I would like to do 1:39 without modifying the car beyond the wheel/tire combination I tried this time.

Hopefully you all remember this part; experiencing pushing the car as I never would on the street was outstanding!

Highlights:
- Learning how to feel the car in corners.
- Learning how to recover when things become loose.
- Hearing the tires sing.
- Feeling the back-end squirm under heavy acceleration coming out of turns (I only ran in Sport mode as I learned the car's reactions).
- Pushing the brakes hard, only to learn there was more grip to be had.
- Refining my line and adding more throttle and braking as my confidence grew each session.
- Using this car for its designed purpose.

Mid-Ohio (full) fastest lap

Bone stock except:
Apex SM-10 (Race Silver in hommage to the original) on 305/19 MPSC2.

---In retrospect, next time I will make sure I use the OEM bespoke compound tire. Also, since this was a class and I bought the insurance from Ford (which should cover damage since it was a school, not a race or timed event), I regret not using the CF wheels for this one. I want to find my best consistent lap time, then swap to OEM CF wheels/tires the same day and see how much difference I feel and see.

Anyway, thank you, everyone, who gave me insight in recent months leading up to this class.

Its a small achievement but I did it with 225 hp less.
Was fast qualifier, sat on the pole and lead every lap of both races (in class) and a 2nd. overall.

That was great to watch. I was there, too. Actually, I think I might have asked you if that was the race-prepped 350 while you were at the fuel pumps.

Cut 2.7s off my first time there 3 weeks ago with a 1:41.2 (ignore the 1:34...that is where the marker was when I took the screenshot). With a few more adjustments I think I can get in the low 1:39s
Stock CF wheels and Pilot Sport Cup 2's
Apex SM-10 and N-spec 305/30 square Cup 2's were nearly as quick during the "free" session at the end of Monday.

I see where I need to scrub less speed through a number of turns:
- 1: 5-6 mph faster
- 7: 4 mph and I haven't hit a heel-toe there, so I am losing too much speed to hit the shift to 3 before turning
- 9: 5-6 mph
- and definitely through the carousel
