it was a fantastic day of on track excitement and cool cars parked at the the show.. I am a bit wind / sun burned but had a great time getting my Boss to turn 12k on the odometer on the way to the show... and if you only want to show your car, you get parade laps at the lunch break.. and if you sign up early for the show it includes lunch... definitely to be on everyones to do list next fall...

Well, actually GB, she was fast most of the weekend, 3rd on the track in the Race Car class (1/10th of a second out of 2nd ), 2nd in on the short course and I was happy since all the competition was on Pirelli Slicks and I was burning up a set of old BFG gforceR1s. She drove right back into the paddock but we were only registering 9 amps and that was flickering , so like you mentioned many figured the 8 year old alternator may have given up the ghost!!??

Thanks for taking all the pics and pretty cool you have made all the events except one, as I have only missed one Mustang Roundup myself. My old place of employment, Woodhouse Auto Family ( but, primarily Woodhouse Ford ) has sponsored the event since day one, so cool to have a relationship with this great track, Ford, and the participants.

Suprmn, 12coboss, Mustang5.0 ( known as Mustang 5 point Ohhh ), and myself , all stayed in the Terry and Suzie Klatt condo. Terry and his wife have a couple of condos on site, one completely filled with racing memorabilia and unique cars, that mirrors any solid car museum for collectibles and racing memorabilia. The cool thing about the event is that the four of us are all TMO members and we all trophied at the event ---- Reggie Mc. ( 12coboss ) the big winner taking his Class.

We decided our new slogan was, " Rent a condo get a trophy!" We have the trophy picture to illustrate , and Reggie will likely post later.

Here's the hardware taken by the winning condo. I'll throw up some in car video on track when I get them uploaded.

Bill obviously likes using portrait mode
While not the usual format choice, and I probably would have done landscape by default, to me the extra sky actually adds to the "this place is H-U-G-E!" feeling you get at Nats.

Glad to hear folks had a good time at The Roundup, & congrats to all the trophy winners.

I forgot to post the shots after the Solo Nationals and then tried sending them, but was having no luck getting them to load and populate. Later I decided to just pop them over to Ludachris when I was in a different area and seemed to have a decent signal.

Funny thing I found out while hanging with 12coboss in Hastings is that I live in a Information Black Hole with fiber optic lines capabilities only about a 1/4 of a mile from my house. Yep, I am one of those still tied to DSL and with all the items that seem to lock up or just crash, the term DSL stands literally for "Damn Slow Line!!!!"

CoBoss told me that Cox Communications is looking into some areas like mine getting handled with the Government Funding so high quality Internet coverage comes to small town and rural America - ah, there is hope. Our area is an anomaly , as we are only 12 minutes North of Omaha and the rural neighborhood is just old enough that fiber optic lines were not laid back then --- aargh. We actually built on a vacant lot yet we still are handicapped with the old system.

The fast old man suffers from CRS (it's mustang5ohshitIalmosthitthetirewall). I took first in my class (stock) as well. Reggie's still the man beating everyone in drag racing (including 2 new GT500s!) but his win over the old 350 in the final was about as close as the old 350 beating me...or so they say. I asked for video evidence but none was provided :). All good and fun though. Short course and drag racing were welcome changes over the autocross.

Alright, here are a few videos as promised, have a few more out on my youtube page. Gave up on overlaying Harry's Laptimer for now, having all kinds of issues getting that to work. Still have some settings to change so the videos don't get cut short too. Full course laps were in the 1:37, with best being 1:36.9, short course first 6 laps were 58 second range, last half were in the 59 second range.
