I took a chance building my new racecar from a new off the lot 2019 A10 GT. People thought I was nuts to go automatic. Alex proved it is a winner in NASA and worked hard to get all the bugs out. I came later and side-stepped some of his issues and still had growing pains. My A10 is the SCCA 2019 Western Conference Championship car and was only about 1/2 developed.

The A10 has a lot of potential. I hope to see more A10's racing in the future which will bring more smart A10 tuners out of the woodwork to make us faster.

I agree Bob. Downshifting and overheating are the things to improve.
Maybe the new mach1 10speed did it.
Thanks guys to share the article.
It perfect describes what really happened :) it was able to capture also ..my feelings and in some way. My emotions.
Tommy writes really well.

It would be a good idea to find out if the M1 has improved programing either in automatic or paddle-shift. I find in paddle-shift A10 works awesome then sometimes forgets what to do then works OK again. It also is too smooth. I have a hard time knowing my paddle-shift has been done because it is so seemless.

Exactly. No rev match like DCT.
Plus the indicator is really small lol.
I might try new trasmission tuning soon. Together with the cooling upgrading i created. (24-7 open thermostat).also working on a higher flow valve. :)

I don't see why a manual valve body couldn't be designed for this trans, they do it for drag racers all the time, but those transmissions are much simpler. I sent a link from this to Paul Forte at Turbo Action transmissions in Jax , Fla. We'll see if he has any ideas.

Yes I would like a large indicator somewhere else on the dash. I wonder how we could do that?

I would like more aggressive trans tune.

I think the bottleneck will limit you especially if you go after even more power making more heat. I think the better play is big cooler modify the bung on PPE pan to AN10 run that to tilton pump and dump cool oil in the dipstick hole. This way you can get whatever temp oil you want and still leave the OEM system intact with it's weird temperature dependent filter system. You can then dump the weight of the water spray system...although can you spray etoh/water into your intake and cool the induction charge for more power legally in your class?

So, on your fastest lap you did cut a tire, so some of that was not driver error, that brings up 2 things,
1. if the tire had stayed inflated "better" would the lap had been faster?
and,
2. would the 3rd lap have been even faster?

I told you to stay out there until the car slowed down, so lap 3 may have been a bit quicker.. who knows?
The damage issue that caused you to miss session 2 on Sunday almost sunk us. It would've (IMO) have been faster than your fastest prior session.
No matter what happens, luck still plays a big part in this stuff, all you can do is set yourself up for the best possible outcome and hope things go your way. You lost a shot with the damage, but got lucky with the cut down tire, The fact that the other guy didn't run stickers in the AM was helpful, but you would've had him covered in session 2.. except for the damage that caused you to miss that session.
You will lose races you should've won, and win races you should've lost, you just do the best to set yourself up for success.
This is why all real racers are a little humble.
