Aaaannnnnd it’s another twofer.
2 time fast qualifier and 2 time class wins.
And, I secured the championship.
On my birthday no less.
All I need for a hat trick is a repeat performance tomorrow. Wish me luck!

There were over 200 entries.

It’s a clean sweep. 3 poles, 3 class wins’ 2 first place overall finishes and the championship all in one weekend.
Thats 9 wins, 8 poles, 2 seconds and a third place finish in my rookie year in a home built race car with a junkyard motor.

My work is done here.

If you drop the mic on the SCCA, what would be in your crosshairs next?
Back to NASCAR.

Or Transam if I'm allowed to dream a little...

Yes but you suffer the same problem we have in CalClub SCCA...and all SCCA. You had only had 1 other car in your class to race and only 13 cars in your group on "racehero". In T2 there was 1 car. Those 200 entries are spread out over like 30 classes. We need to consolidate classes so we race more people in our classes. The only time we have a group to really compete in is Runoffs where we'll have 20 cars in our class.

Hardly anyone stayed for Sunday, Friday and Saturday was much fuller, but yes, being the end of the season it was pretty light and a lot of folks don't like the travel to T-Hill. Sunday was supposed to be the 5 mile and a lot of folks didn't want to run that so the field thinned out.
There has been as much as 20 cars in ITE but its usually less....we had a twin turbo Mazaratti show up Friday/Saturday in ITE that I never saw before, it was pretty cool. Its so expensive to run these events that not many people can do a full season, so how big the field is a always crap shoot.
I tell you this is crazy stuff....Stock Cars have it all over this series. If I didn't have this car already built I wouldn't be doing it. I would however, seriously consider an offer if anyone wanted to own it.

24 cars in group 3 Saturday.
Now looking this up I see that the new ITE Record for the 1.9 mile is....me. 1:18.964.
No idea what the old record was...
