Wiring harnesses and drivetrain in. Got a healthy number of DTC’s though that I need to sort through before first startup. We’ll see what I can do with Forscan, hopefully don’t need IDS.

What appears to be the biggest issue is the canbus network not finding the EPAS rack. Testing circuits to make sure it’s getting power, maybe I’ll get lucky and the fusible link is blown.

The great news though is that after doing this engine swap in my driveway in the leaves after dark once my boys are in bed, we are closing today on a new house with a pretty butchin’ garage. So getting my car running and future work will be much more enjoyable! Slab engineered to support a 2 post lift, really looking forward to that. Super pumped.

Got the splitter buttoned up, looking forward to trying it out this weekend. I have spats to install as well but ran out of time. Will also add diffusers now that the splitter is made and I can measure to see how big I can go with them.

Also ducted the radiator and intercooler, curious to see how temps are.

Curious to know how/what you made your splitter air-dam out of? Looks real high quality and makes me want to redo mine lol

You and me both! Next one on my calendar is Buttonwillow Black Friday with SpeedSF and hopefully Laguna that Saturday or Sunday too. Come on down!

Towed the car to the new house the other day, man what an upgrade just having it in a garage. Can’t believe it. I think I’m gonna wash it for the first time in prob 1.5yrs since it’s not getting pooped on by birds all day anymore. Hell maybe I’ll even wax it.

Cleared a few DTC’s the other night. Gonna prime the engine oil tonight and try to fire her up.

Honeybadger is on FRPP suspension with some aero so it can be done. That said I think it’s asking a lot of relatively low rates. I’m on MCS and actually just re-spring it from 450/550 to 600/750 for the extra weight up front now and the wing.

Kevin is on regular old springs and shocks?? Didn't see that coming.

Good to know though. I'll likely go to coils before aero then as well

Since you running MCS I'm guessing Fair's set-up. There were 3 packages for the springs on the MCS and the middle you have now was for non-aero cars. IIRC he is running the heavy ones on his website for full aero S550's. I'm running the 600/750's on a non-aero SCCA T2 car and those are just about right.

congrats of the yote conversion. That's a big job. For your garage consider mohawk A7 asymetric twin post lift. Once you work on a lift you are never going back! Talk to me when you want to build your cage.20200314_182651.jpg20191124_105940.jpg

Thanks for the recommendation bob. Will take a look at that lift. I’ll also let you know when it’s cage time, hope sooner than later.

Yeah the coils are from Vorshlag. I generally prefer an undersprung car to over, so realize I may need to up the spring rates but wanted to try these first.

Racebred S2000 V2. They fit great save for the nut backing plate that goes in the frame rail. But once you grind down the backing plates they fit perfectly. Height wise the trailing edge of the splitter can be run up against the bottom of the subframe down to ~1.5" lower. Due to the upward angle of the stock belly pan (depending on which one you have) this means probably 1-2.5" lower leading edge than the stock front lip.

Exactly what I'm looking for..does this bracket allow for changing the angle fo the splitter (higher in the back than the front as is typical)? How does it release? How hard to swap between splitter and stock stuff? It is an S2000 piece, but bolts up OK to a Mustang?

Yes it does allow for angle changes. It’s quick release and uses pins that you pull out by hand then can slide the splitter off the bracket mounted to the frame. If you have support rods you need to undo those as well. If you have fender liners they can make removal more difficult too. If you build the splitter correctly you will have removed the entire belly pan and the mounting brackets will hang down lower than the stock belly pan so swapping back to stock would not be easy or fast.

Yes they’re made for an s2k but can be made to fit the mustang pretty easily if you have basic fab skills. No welding required.
