Back in the day, I used to own a relatively inexpensive Daytona MIG brand "pulse TIG" welder. It was 220, had a torch with the trigger and you could weld up to about 1/8 inch, it was perfect for small jobs. since it evaporated years ago and now Daytona MIG is now out of business, are any of oyu aware of a relatively low priced TIG machine. Again, this is not a production machine it's for those small, weird jobs like carb linkage and misc brackets and stuff where I'm trying not to incinerate the entire piece I'm working on.

This is what I’m looking into getting when I want to do more side work. Seems like. Nice compact machine watched a bunch of reviews and everybody seemed to be impressed. I haven’t welded with it personally yet but I like the pulsing abilities for aluminum. Although this price seems high the local shop from me has it for I believe 1400 ( don’t quote me on that) if you look into Miller or my favorite Lincoln your looking to spend way more it’s kinda crazy. Also look into Hobart they are literally RE badged miller’s

Oops sorry forgot the link

I have an Everlast 200DV that I've been very happy with. If I were going to get anything cheaper I'd likely get the Eastwood.

I see that Everlast has a DC only machine for $575. I don't know if you need AC too but it's worth a look.

My cousin is a welder and he recommended Everlast welders.

Unless you guys see anything horrible, I kind of like this unit from Eastwood. I've had pretty good results using their products and I had forgotten that they carried welders. My MIG and plasma cutters are both hi zoot Hobarts, but I just need something to do small intricate parts and has a finger trigger like I was used to. I won't be doing any aluminum, and if needed TS racing is right down the road with a full fab shop.

Blacksheep-1 , I bought the Eastwood TIG 200 AC/DC welder a few years ago and it was not great. I barely used it because it was a PITA . I ended up buying a Lincoln . It was a night and day difference.

I have a miller econotig does ac and DC also can be used as a stick welder. Look for used 1. Comes complete minus tank. Great unit I welded up to 3/16 but if I pushed it 1/4 should do.also brazed cast iron part that cracked still holding well.chris

just a quick link, but these guys make pulse machines. they have resonable prices vs quality of the product. Id at least look through their products and see which ones have pulse capability. i have one of their tigs and its great.

problem is, I have really gotten accustom to the trigger on the handle, but it's a nice unit though.
