Welcome, been using EBC pads for ages on all our other cars. An Alfa and 4 Landrovers (non track cars). The website is a little confusing when looking for the S550 mustang 6 piston brembos. I gather the RP-X would be the bet bet for a track mustang?

Hi there, it's great to hear you use our products on your daily's and are interested in our track pads! Our RP series are our first track specific pads and soon to be available will be the SR series, a much higher friction and longer lasting endurance pad. There is also the Blue Stuff, which is a track/street hybrid for less frequent track racers who also use their car for regular street use.

The RP-X would be greatly suited for the S550, however it will depends which engine/model you have (EcoBoost/GT/Coyote etc)

All gen 6/ S550 Mustangs can be found at this link

Do you have a pad compound roughly equivalent to Raybestos ST-45? I like their product but its difficult to source... and I've liked EBC products in the motorcycle world...
Our newest pad formula, SR-11, should compare well against the ST-45, and the SR-21 we believe will be a massive improvement. We are soon to have them tested against them with someone that has a Corvette and regularly used ST-45 at Laguna Seca, we will have some concrete data following this

I have a S197 with the S550 calipers with 2014 Gt500 rotors like several other cars in this forum. When do you think you will be having the new SR21 pads available in our sizes??

Looking forward to your data and welcome as a new sponsor. I am well acquainted with your street pads from my past employment ( Woodhouse Auto Family and Woodhouse Motorsports ) but will be really interested to see your testing info for your serious track pads. We sold quite a few customers your pads who wanted low dust on their performance street vehicles , but we did not recommend for serious racing. You have a Worldwide Presence so glad to have you on this Forum and it should be a great platform to help launch your new aggressive racing pads!

Do you ever plan to produce 2 piece discs for the standard GT brake package?
Our range of 2-piece rotors will continue to grow based on a popularity/application basis, i.e. if the shape fits a number of vehicles and if there is high demand. To my knowledge, we do already make them for the 2.3 and 3.7 GT performance packages of the 6th Gen Mustang, is that what you are looking for?

So those are the for larger GT PP brake package with the 15" front discs and 14"rear disc. I'm talking about the brakes which come on the base GT or the Ecoboost PP/HPP packages with a 14" front disc and 13" rears.

I'm asking these questions because I could not find the answers on the posted links but I admit, I'm not a critical reader.

There are a bunch pads with different colors of "stuff". Is there a description of all the colors and where they fall in a line?

There are 2 series of race pads. Where does the new SR series come into the line? Does SR replace RP? When should RP vs. SR be used?

2 piece rotors listed only packaged with pads? Can rotors be bought as individual items? I did not see description of weight and if directional? Are replacement rings and bobbin hardware available separately?

For mustangs are 2 piece rotors available for the rear?

What does EBC recommend for rear pads on Mustang racecars?

Good questions bob, enquiring minds want to know, ha. I know some of the answers from when we used these pads for customers back in my working days, but since the folks at EBC have been quite receptive I will let them give you a full history. That way nothing gets left out , which could happen when you have answers coming from an old fart racer.

I went to the Summit site to price some of your pads. They don't even list Ford as a supported manufacturer for 2020. What products does EBC actually produce which are for use on the present Mustang? Is there anything for the base GT?

I have a question for you, when you use the (or rebuild) the stock type Ford calipers, do you use a performance type kit with high quality O rings?, the reason I ask is that many of us have tried to use the over the counter replacement calipers at misc. auto parts stores, only to have them leak after track use (most likely do to heat). do you think your product will produce better results?

I looked at their website (in England) and it looks like they do make some kits for the base mustang GT

I'm seeing some S197 kits, but very little for S550. Am I missing it?

OK, I'm seeing some now. Pads and OEM style discs.
