I know this is a long-shot, but does anyone know where I can find some ARP studs? They are out at OP, Lethal, Steeda, CJ, American Muscle, and just about everywhere else I can think to look. They must be made in the same factory as vacuum tubes for amplifiers and good bourbon.

Hopefully the info at Jeg's is correct, but I would not be surprised if they do not ship out as I have contacted ARP three times and there is no urgency at all on their part to make wheel studs. Ford has been without a new supply for almost a year and rumor is they are looking for other suppliers. I would also check with Capaldi Racing, as Leo had some 97mm GT4 racing studs for awhile ( imagine he is out now ) , but they are at the forefront of getting studs as soon as anyone with all the work they do for Ford Performance. I was literally aghast when I called ARP, over 3 months ago, and was told, " Cars are not our main priority , we have so many other applications that are more important and urgent, we probably won't even begin building them until late March." I called again a month later and was told, " We have other areas we need to get completed so you probably won't see them out for cars until July or late Summer." At this point I was somewhat floored because this info was offered matter of factly with no effort to smooth things over and since it was the second time I was offered this information without any pressure, I realized vehicles would be last on their list! One never knows about rumors, since they develop during times when there are concerns or issues, but I, for one, sure hope it is true that Ford is looking for another company to get our studs for Performance applications.

This is not much help in acquiring studs, but hopefully Corporate pressure has given ARP a wake up call and some studs will start to surface soon?!

Not sure when you need them by but these ship by 6-7

Thanks HP. I was hoping to get them by next weekend for VIR. I've been running OEM and discovered this week that I had a right rear stud sheared at the hub face, the stud and nut were gone. Last I checked torque on it was early afternoon on the second day at Road Atlanta. It was there then! So it might be somewhere between Raleigh and Atlanta on the side of HWY 85.

Seems like a great time to upgrade but I guess I'll have to go back with OEM in the meantime.

Bill, you are probably right about the potential to slip. 6/7 is the date LMR was given that they would receive some, but it did not sound like it was confirmed. So 6/7 is probably the last date they had given everyone and on 6/8 they will all be notified of some other date in the future.

I honestly hope they ship out , because it would be a solid sign the powers that be at Ford Performance raised a major ruckus and the ARP folks realized vehicles may not are their big bread and butter, but losing that area would affect the bottom line. I do hope that there are other alternatives in the works , though, because this could happen again ( or is still happening ) and it has an affect on other folks like Apex ,Signature, or Forgeline wheels to name a few.

Now this is funny...right after I posted my response to you I looked at OP and they showed 1 pack in stock of the +1/2 inch, no nuts. So I ordered it. Now shows 0 again. Hopefully this was real and it actually ships. Now I just need to find 3 more packs.

Hi All, I have had ARP 100-1033 extended wheel studs on order since April, they have not arrived. In the mean time I did order and install the ridiculously expensive Ford GT350R studs for the front of my GT350 to use with my APEX SM-10 wheels and 25mm spacers. But in mounting my, now square, 305/30/19s on APEX 19x11 wheels, I noticed that the rear studs, with open lug nuts, seem pretty short. The stud threads are recessed in the lug nuts by about 2 threads which seems too short to me. Which extended studs are you using for the rear hubs, not that they will be any more available than the fronts? Thanks!!

Photo in case you want to see what the R studs from Ford (part number M1107F) look like. They actually don't look bad on the car with 25mm spacers. They say you can run up to a 50mm spacer on these.

You still have the OEM rear studs, right? They're 50mm head depth. 20 mm of that is taken up with the hub flange and the rotor hat, leaving 30mm for the rim and the nut. Most rims are 10mm at the bottom of the conical recess, leaving 20mm for the nut. The "normal spec" for nuts is 1.5 times the diameter of the stud, which is 21 mm with M14 studs, and Ford allows 20 mm, which is more than good enough. My aftermarket open nuts are 19 mm deep and take full 150 ft-lbs torque without a problem. Back when I was running 6mm spacers at the back (325 Pirelli's) I installed a set of the OEM front studs in my rear hubs., They're 57 mm long.

I ended up going with Dorman wheel studs for an F350 dually. ARP's would have been nice, but these should hold up just fine.

The issues with production studs comes if you change wheels a lot. I have failed production studs on my GT350 street car and only change tires twice a year. That said, I have over 100,000 miles on it. It is the life span of the studs taking wheels on and off and torque them for track days.
