I'm trying to keep this short...I've recently started tracking my car and I'm getting some hood shake/lift/flutter at higher speeds. I've added the trackspec side vents which have helped some, but still see some shaking around 130mph. On the plus side, they also helped a lot with heat.

I also changed the front grill a long time ago to an open mesh style grill (upper and lower).

So my question is...would adding the trackspec center vent in addition be enough to eliminate this hood shake? Is there anything else I should do? Should I add the available wickers?

Would changing the front grill back to a more stock style or block off the current grill in some way help?

Thanks!

This will stop the hood shake/flutter at high speeds

You know I significantly reduced the hood flutter by putting some 1/2" wide foam tape across the headlights to seal that gap between the lights and the hood. I intend to add Race Louvers to increase airflow in the future. But I was surprised how much cutting off the airflow between the headlights and hood changed the flutter. And it only cost me maybe $0.50.

Same. Didn't totally stop flutter, but much better.

Thanks guys! Looks like some hood pins are in my future then. May go ahead and do the center vent too.
I'd highly recommend as much venting on the hood as you can get and match that with some hood pins. These are the two locations I used to mount my AeroCatch pins (I copied the GT4 race car location):

I didn't expect the massive difference hood vents were going to add. On top of stopping the fluttering at high speed, there is FAR less understeer in high-speed sweepers.

Could you snap a quick pic?

I did the foam thing first, it did little if anything to stop high speed flutter. The car sees 147 mph up the back straight at Mosport so it's a lot to expect from a bit of foam. Aerocatch hood pins, Racelouvers center and side vents killed the flutter completely with the added bonus of lower oil and water temps and more front downforce.
