@biggsy a lot of us arent fans of MMR here….id return em and get cortex stuff
Mark and the MMR team have become very involved in the road racing side of things in the last year or so, and I can say first hand they are putting their stuff to the test almost every weekend with an assortment of S550’s on track. This is a big change in direction for them, as they were almost solely drag race oriented before. Just mentioning this as they are a site sponsor and seem like very reasonable guys to work with - I would think they would work through any issue that someone might have.

Your progress is awesome! Just like all of us the track bug has bitten hard!

Xineering, give them a ring. Their customer service is awesome. Never had any issues with mine on either car.
I agree! I had an issue with wiring and they were very helpful in figuring it out.

Now it's not that I'm having issues with the module, but more so that its difficult for me to get used to. When I downshift, I naturally rotate my heel to blip the throttle but forget that the module is already doing it for me which then causes me to misjudge clutch release. Just will take some seat time but for instructors' sake, I just heel-toe manually.

Well its too late for return and cortex only sells camber plates for their coilovers unless they released a new product that I was unaware of. I've spoken to Cortex recently on my goals/plans and I am set on that route when the time comes. The only way I will go MCS or any other brand is If I get a very great price used which almost happened in the summer for a set of MCS TT2.

Hoping for these World Cup and NBA parlays to hit so I can speed up the process lol

I hope I am on the right thread. I was advised to post any mods that I do on my 2022 Mach1 HP no matter how small.
First adjustment I did was set my front cambers to -2.5. I'll be adjusting the rear cambers next. Undecided on Steeda Rear Camber Adj Kit.
Then installed the oil catch can passenger side.
Added my front fenders that I got from Ford Performance.
Installed Watson Roll Bar (same as the Ford Performance School Mach 1's) and 4 Point harness. Just not convinced the lap belt section angle is correct. Bracket mounting set behind seat.
Next I'm going to replace the Air Filter with Airaid Red 861-399 and remove that air restrictor 'thingy' they put in the 22 Mach 1's to reduce the HP and take it for a tune.
Next year, after some more tracking, I'll consider improving my suspension.

Build looks great so far. But I’m assuming you meant to post under your vehicle thread? I know it’s a bit confusing at first between the vehicle profile and the thread it creates. Love the color but I’m biased lol.
Looking forward to a great 2023 for you and the car!

Yeah I'm not the greatest with these things. I'll try figure out how to move it. Sorry

Newbie question here: participating in autocross this upcoming spring and concerned about tech inspections. Would the S550 GT need a battery tie down? Asking in advanced so I’m not turned around.

The simple answer is yes, you car will need a battery tie down

The good news is that unless you have modified or broken the original tie down. You should be good to go. Most inspectors will try to move your battery if they doubt the hold downs. If it moves, fail.

Thanks! @TMSBOSS everything under the hood is stock and in fair condition so I shouldn’t have an issues

Agree. They will look at battery for tie downs and insulation on positive terminal. If the factory red rubber/plastic cover is still there, you will be good.
Most inspectors I have experience with are there to get you through inspection and on track. A clean well maintained car should get right through tech. Expect them to ask about torque specs on lug nuts, condition of brake fluid, brake pads and seat belts. A fluid flush with a good dot4 fluid is good practice.

Most important is to know most folks at track events are interested in making the experience positive for everyone. Have fun. Speed will come with experience and good instruction.

Went to Summit Point this weekend and put down a personal best of 1:27:90. Working on Race Render so no data overlays now. I am on Kuhmo v730 305/30/19. Great tire and all the gossip about running low tire pressures is true. Best performance came from 23psi cold/31 hot. I recognize my mistakes and if I was given another day, I’m confident I could put down a 1:25. Plus this was with an instructor (@sldghmr) in the seat. Thanks Steve for all the help! Car ran and felt great. Shifted at 7000 to keep temps and engine happy. This was also my first time on Pagid RST3/ RSL29 and man they are amazing. Going into T1 I can definitely brake after the 4 marker but I’ll keep it where it’s at now lol. Reached a new top speed of 138 (previous was 135) on the front straight but that could’ve been down to a faster exit from T10. Was also approved for intermediate group. Successful weekend all the way around. Hoping to be back next month.

Man thats awesome! Great run! sounds like you know exactly what the car wants and when. I'm sure next go around you'll hit that 1:25 mark. After I get use to autoX I will start looking into HPDE events.

I watched the last session which was the best session, a few times and know where I can shed time. I think I just needed to get the first event jitters out the way and become familiar with the new brakes and tires. I know where I can get on throttle earlier or carry more speed. I see a few members here running low 20s with more experience and better tires so I feel optimistic. Signed up to go back next month but will be in the Intermediate class. It will be nice driving in a more advance group to watch how others drive the track.
Your autoblip sounds good in the video, not too high.
lol the auto blip you heard was my right heel. I tried the new settings for the first two laps and it was still to high so I turned it off. I have it at 85% blip and from what I've gathered, that is pretty high lol.

Interesting, I'm switching this month to that setup (from Conti ECF 315/30-19--was rubbing up front after switching to monoballs). You're saying that the consensus on the V730 is to run it at lower tire pressures than other track tires?

Yup. They get up to temps very quickly. I also read they don’t like too much camber due to stiff sidewalls. I was at -3/-2(F/R). I am taking .2* out before my next event. Didn’t come close to the outside shoulder

If you are a USAA member you might want to check out the Goodyear Eagle Supercar F1 3 or the even stickier 3R, as they give members a huge discount. Even if not a member that is another great choice as Kumho has been known over the decades to often run short on supply. They will wear faster than the Continental Extreme Force but they should not rub at a 305/30/19 size.

Sorry to hear the monoballs messed up your clearance as there are quite a few solid 315 choices along with the Conti Force.
