Everytime a Tesla Semi pulls into a Truck Stop to fast charge at 4MWThere is a long way to go regarding Hydrogen Tech. It still takes more energy to produce the hydrogen than you receive from the finished product. The geeks really need to get to work on this one.

How much energy does OIL and Gas or Lithium Mining require? The world requires energy, hydrogen is the best carrier that is not going to ever run out or be 'dirty'.
Other than Ford, every other automaker is going to Hydrogen, GM is even developing fixed and mobile EV charging powered by, you guessed it, Hydrogen.
Cummins already had orders for 500 (I think) Hydrogen ICE engines to one large US truck fleet. All of this is happening now, we will see full production 2024-2025.
Pilot is working on infrastructure for their stops. Thing about Hydrogen is it can be made on demand from multiple sources, you could make it at home and store it, then fill up your car or lawnmower.
If you want to go down a efficiency rabbit hole, Florida has the largest Solar Battery in the world. It is on a 40 acre site that has 132 containers of batteries, that will power a whopping 50,000 homes for about 9 hours. This is over 53,000 battery modules. Besides the cost of that, the space and energy required to build the components and the site for a backup for a tiny percentage of homes in a state of 18+Million? Meanwhile I live 14 miles away from a 1.4 Million Gallon liquid Hydrogen Tank. Molecules are and will always be better energy carriers than electrons.
