Interesting as Hoosier leaving many racing series and making things rather difficult to win tires in the few venues they still sponsored was one of my reasons to tell them bye bye. As I can get such a good deal on Goodyears through USAA it is unlikely I will wander back real soon, even though I acknowledge they are the " Gold Standard . "

I already contribute to a set or two autocrossing with my son, and the Goodyears appeal to me after chatting with friends and because of price.

Interesting as Hoosier pulling out and making stuff rather difficult to win tires in almost all their venues was one of my reasons to tell them so long. Probably will , anyway, as I can get such a good deal on Goodyears through USAA.
Now that you've been running them for a while, how do they compare to A7 and R7s?

Have not been on them yet, Fab, we have a much shorter season here in the Midwest, but I will be on 3Rs this Season. I love Hoosiers, but the price has become a deterrent when I can buy F1 Supercars for half the price. Retirement does put a new balance on racing funds, so I shall shod the 19x11 Apexes with 305/30/19 Goodyears.

I remember years back racing Miatas and having an SCCA ITE Mustang come up on my bumper at the end of a straight at a track in Iowa. I could actually pull him through the next two corners and then he blew by me in the middle straight. The poor guy in your video might have been thinking the same when he saw the Italian Stallion behind him, but I bet he was a little shocked at how quickly you dispatched him ----- that Autohorse corners in the insane range! Great time and having run there only once many years ago , and only getting 3 laps at that, it is always fun to watch someone getting some Wind in the Willows at Thunderhill.

Its been an unbelievably awesome season competing with Gridlife and SCCA in the 2020 GT500! We ran the entire season with the big dogs in unlimited class and I couldn't be happier with the results.

Gridlife NCM Motorsports park: Finished 1st overall with a best time of 2:06.80 setting the overall track record for Gridlife's first year at NCM!

SCCA TT Nationals at NCM: Finished 2nd overall with a best time somewhere in the low 2:07 range.

Gridlife Mid Ohio: Took 2nd place in Unlimited behind arguably the fastest time attack car in the country. Our best time from Mid Ohio was a 1:28.72!

Gridlife Gingerman: Another 2nd place finish behind the same insanely fast twin turbo C6 Vette. Our fastest time was a 1:33.40. This is definitely the least representative time we laid down all year.

UTCC at VIR: Unfortunately due to a faulty transponder we weren't able to clock an official time for the event but finally getting to VIR was a dream come true and we still laid down a very respectable 1:54.93 and on a later lap we were over 2 seconds up on predictive before hitting traffic, so a 1:52 is definitely there!

Gridlife Road America: Another bucket list track checked off the list! We managed a blistering fast 2:17.87 Giving us another 2nd place finish!

I can't even put into words how proud I am of this car! We beat many high effort race cars this year with a car that is still very close to the way it was delivered from Ford. I already can't wait for next season! This is only the beginning!

All times were ran on 345 Square Hoosier A7's with GT350R front calipers to fit 19" wheels.
Thinking about trying Gridlife Time Attack at Barber in June. I'm running a GT350 with some aero mods. (splitter/spoiler) How did you like Gridlife? You going to Barber? Is Unlimited the class I need to register for?

That's the sloppiest sub 3 VIR grand lap I've ever seen, @Boone !
No argument here. I don't hit the tracks enough to have much higher expectations, but of course I do, because that's how we all are on here. I actually put our laps side by side, and it is a wonderful race to commentate (if we can get Mad Hatter's guys from Chile). I leave you on the straits, you reel me in on the twisties. Over and over again. We cross pit lane entrance together, and we take vastly different approaches to how we get lap times. You are a Ginsu knife, and I am Gallagher's sledgehammer. All the money you gave to NASA, I gave it to Pro Dyno. :)

Btw, I would welcome a "turn by turn" critique from you, or any pointers you'd like to share. You can obviously get around VIR Grand well, and I'd appreciate your feedback. If you take me up on it, please post it publicly on my build thread.
