As some of you know there was a massive crash at Lime Rock in our practice session, apparently an Astin driven by 25 y/o Jorge De LaTorre went down the runoff and headed back to the track, while waiting for traffic to clear his car was hit head on by Andrew Palmer's Bentley, Palmer's car then ramped over the Astin and vaulted over the wall into the woods. Track workers, fire trucks and ambulance were immediately on scene but it took 20 minutes to cut Palmer out. I was talking to Palmer's lead tech ;later and he and the crew were visibly shaken..it was bad.
De La Torre has been released as of this time but Palmer is still (from what I've learned) is in an induced coma, information is slim.
If you've never seen a Bentley standing on end...it's pretty scary looking.

Thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.

I was there and that was the craziest accident ever. Sad that it happened in a practice session, next time I hope the marshalls will slow the cars down alot more to allow a car to rejoin the circuit. Prayers for both drivers.

Still no word on Palmer at this time...
