Mods - Handling
The factory performance package is pretty sweet for what it cost; a big upgrade over stock Ecoboost (GT brakes on a lighter car, bigger wheels, different gear ratios, stiffer suspension, rear spoiler delete, etc.), Steeda 2 piece rotors and GLOC G-8 pads (on track days) .
Mods - Power
Roush CAI, new performance clutch, about to add a Bama Tuner tune and new Ford Performance exhaust cat back system. CVF intercooler. EMS rear main seal.
Mods - Exterior
A few stickers and an awesome Road America license plate!
Mods - Interior
Schroth quick fit harnesses for track days, and I have a HANS device to fit with it.
Background & Plans
I am a "youngish" (over 40 though now) father of 4 children; God bless my wife for letting me get an extra car that is fun for track days. But I did have a budget. Hence no GT, though I do like the surprising amount of power and torque this 4 can put out; when I did my test drive it easily passed the burnout and donut test in stock form...since I only had a Honda Accord in high school and my daily driver isn't too wild (has to be able to haul 4 kids) this car is a blast to drive whenever I have a solo road trip, some time to kill, or a track day. The plan is 1-2 track days a year and maybe an autocross here and there. With all the mods it is likely approaching the power of a stock GT...but whatever power it puts out I have a blast driving it and love the look of this series of Mustang!
