- Bought it brand new in Nov of '15 as a '16 model. The day we picked it up, my son (6 at the time) said "This car could use some racing stripes" as we drove home in it. I thought that was hilarious.
Over time, I built it into an effective track car. I gained sponsorships to offset the cost of building and maintenance through my experience as a designer and shade tree mechanic.
I became a regular at tracks like Sonoma and Thunderhill. I was identified as a clean driver early on and got tapped to coach for the Track Night in America program through the SCCA. I did that for 4 1/2 years and in my time I developed as a driver, great friendships and the SCCA in making TNiA the most successful program in their history.
I really enjoy the experience of being on track, the camaraderie, running with highly skilled drivers and high dollar cars in my budget track car.
