A little late to this but I have had no noticeable issues with my SCJ monoblade. That being said, a friend with a nearly identical setup (nly on a GT if that matters at all) had nothing but issues with theirs. It would start fine, idle for a few minutes then the idle would hang, wrench would...
I would have to venture a guess at no as the Kooks are a mid length header. It looks as though on the ARH system the mid pipe comes straight at the header as with the Kooks system there is an offset angle that would need to be matched with the mid pipe. I hope this helps.
I would wonder about this as well as the plastic cup itself as I just finished this install this past weekend using my previously installed DSS Aluminum DS, BMR DS Loop with BMR adjustable UCA and Hotchkis LCA, lowered on T springs with relo brackets and no substantial NVH increase over the...
I had a similar noise/feel on mine after doing the header install. It turned out the the steering shaft at the rack (the bolt was tightened to spec and red loctited as per installation instructions) had loosened just a bit. It took everything I had and to be honest I didn't think I had...
Re: What did you do to your boss today?I got lucky with mine the first few times I had it out as well and thought that I had escaped the CEL. After a few long runs it eventually came on. It might just take longer than it's had thus far.
I'm running Kooks 1 7/8" mid length headers, Kooks Boss H-pipe with QTP cutouts on Kooks sidepipes connected to Borla OTA pipes and finally into GT500 Quad tips.
When I painted mine I painted it with coats of Ford Black then went over it with matte clear. It turned out as close to factory as can possibly imagine. I hope this helps. I'm sure I still have the paint to actually give you precise colors if need be. I looked high and low to find the specific...
Lol nice, at the speeds you can push it, I don't think it would be nearly as catastrophic as I originally thought. In your case, there should be absolutely no reason to not tighten it ;D.
It's a good idea to check, like I said, I had red Loctite on there and had a good amount of torque on it and it was still "loose". That could be an ugly situation if it ever lets go. Better taking the two minutes and being sure as you can access it from underneath with all the panels on.
Solved. As another member from another forum mentioned about double checking the steering knuckle bolt, the one steering knuckle bolt was maybe, and I mean maybe, five pounds off of spec allowing the steering shaft to move within the knuckle. I just thought I would share as it should have hit me...
Hi everybody, as the topic states, I have recently installed a set of Kooks LTH, after the install, there seems to be a slight dead spot in the steering system. I did have to drop the K member which involved disconnecting the steering shaft from the rack. Everything was witness marked and...
