  1. 2012 Boss 302 Photo Thread

Local car show:I sent my fuse box cover off to get overlayed with the same cf weave pattern as my rad cover:Carbon fiber underhood dress-up. In this pic you can see the blue painters tape holding the windshield squirters out of the way...I need to remove the whole setup including washer...

Lamin-x film. They have several different colors.
  3. 2012 Boss 302 Photo Thread

Thanks! I've gotten tons of inspiration from everyone on here! The next phase of the build is to add lightness 8)
  4. 13 Layers of Zaino with 2 Layers of Admas Americana Wax pictures

I have a PW Boss as well. Mine is garage kept and I wash it weekly...but I wash the front every other to get bugs off. I use microfiber cloth and the yellow Meguiars car soap (only because it smells good :o).I haven't waxed my car a single time, but I do occasionally use the spray on silicone...
  5. pulled the trigger on a DSS driveshaft

Unfortunately, with a human behind the wheel...you will always get confounding variables with track times. Delayed reaction time, missed shift, additional seat time, etc. A 0.2-0.3 of a second is within the the average driver's "margin of error."
  6. side splitters

Yeah...and they line up perfectly with the front splitter. The Boss really should have come with these from the factory.
  7. side splitters

I haven't seen any other side splitters on the market...but the Roush side splitters are really easy to install and look great!Warning...gratuitous whoring below:
  8. pulled the trigger on a DSS driveshaft

Ok, so the driveshaft has a smaller diameter and is lighter weight...ok, that makes sense and satisfies both parts of the equation ;DIf math can tell us the probability of finding an electron in orbit...then it can sure as shiznit tell us how a driveshaft frees up horsepower!
  9. pulled the trigger on a DSS driveshaft

Eventually I plan to swap a cf driveshaft onto my car...I just want to explore the topic more fully. I think we are saying the same thing, however, I think you are oversimplifying the decrease in rotational mass. The distance the mass is from the center has a much much much larger contribution...
  10. pulled the trigger on a DSS driveshaft

I'm sorry but I'm not sure what the point of your post was? Your link shows the exact same equations that I posted above. Are you trying to disagree with the math or what?
  11. pulled the trigger on a DSS driveshaft

TMSBOSS,Good question...I will be honest, I do not have any experience with swapping drive shafts. Your question may explain the apparent "smoothness" of the drivetrain felt after swapping over to a DSS brand driveshaft. But remember, drag related to a bearing has nothing to do with decreasing...
  12. pulled the trigger on a DSS driveshaft

Mathematics and physics got us to the moon in a tin can....but you would dismiss all that for a ridiculous analogy??? Your analogy is ridiculous because it introduces additional forces like friction and fulcrums (something has to balance the rod while you twist it). In the vacuum of space you...
  13. pulled the trigger on a DSS driveshaft

I do not believe the difference in peformance can be attributed to "rotating weight." Why? Because the math debunks this theory.I posted this over on svtperformance.com:
