Just wait until Gen 4 and 5 comes out!
  2. What did you do to your Boss 302 or S197 today?

Re: What did you do to your boss today? The secret is to aim a hair dryer at the threaded joint and heat it up for at least 10 minutes before cranking on it. The heat helps loosen the loctite.Good luck!
  3. New AMSOIL 5W-50

Ford specifies .....B and Amsoil is ....C. What's the difference?
  4. The People vs Winter

In four months I'm retiring to southern Oregon. A little town of 8,000 people and a nice climate. Not too hot and not too cold. And, not many people. Lots of Boss roads to explore though!
  5. woke up to snow! (in the San Diego area!)

It's 42 here (Anchorage Alaska) and raining. Go figure!
  6. Merry Christmas From BMO

Merry Christmas from Alaska my friends! It is snowing today with the biggest, most beautiful snowflakes imaginable !!!
  7. Ford ESP or not

I hardly ever purchase extended warranties either. I did on my Boss and feel good that I did. I also had one on my 2007 Tundra, one of the best built trucks of all time. Only have had one problem with it and it happened after the standard warranty expired. The extended was still active and it...
  8. Boss 302 Owners Map

Awesome, thanks! (I wished I owned two Bosses though!)
  9. Ford ESP or not

84 months/75,000 miles ESP here. It gives me peace of mind knowing it is in the bank. I disagree that the only things that might go wrong in the next 7 years is the clutch or the tranny. There are a lot of computers on any vehicle now days and even though everyone says the motors are...
  10. Boss 302 Owners Map

I couldn't figure out how to delete or move the Alaska pin, so just put a new green pin on the map. The Boss is now in southern Oregon and I'll be joining her next Spring.
  11. Extended Warranty

Correctomundo! Same conclusion here. I have Ford ESP coverage for 84 months/75k miles and they knew I had the TK activated.
  12. Lowering a mostly street Boss 302

Randy,I too wanted to get rid of the rake but didn't want a much stiffer ride. I love low cars but didn't want the car too much lower as I already have to be a little careful on some driveways and other poor roads. I went with the Steeda Boss spring set (front and rear matched set). I now sit...
  13. Steeda UCA and Driveline Clunking Noise Solved

Dave,Not sure on that but my observation was that the OEM bracket is pretty flimsy compared to the high quality of the Steeda unit. Logically it would seem there would be more flex with the stock bracket, but is that a big deal or not, I don't know. However, when you hold them in your hands...
  14. Steeda UCA and Driveline Clunking Noise Solved

Bosstang,I owe you a beer for your posting regarding the Steeda UCA locking nuts. I had some clunking too, so I took your photoshop picture to my mechanic and asked him to take a look. He said no problem but that the last ones to tighten the UCA was the alignment shop they sent my Boss out to...
  15. Ford's Response to the Tire Sensor Fault in My BOSS 302

Try putting the original set of tires/rims back on and see if you still get the message. Maybe there is something unique between the original sensors and the PCM and the new sensors from the other wheels are setting it off.
