I moved to Germany last fall and was able to take the winter tires off the boss last weekend. I had to drive across the country for a work event this week and spent most of my time on the autobahn (A3, A9, A66) between 100-125 mph and still got my doors blown off by some audi/bmw/benz cars! I...
What this didn't capture was Menezes being told to not pass Dumas over the radio, even though he was on his tail after closing a large gap. Engineers were concerned about temps on the #1 car and wanted no contest with their #3 car, who was running 2nd. Menezes responded that he was not pushing...
From sportscar365.com:
Romain Dumas was keeping Gustavo Menezes at bay in a battle for second place between the two Rebellion R13 Gibsons with hours remaining in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.Menezes, driving the No. 1 Rebellion got to within a second of Dumas in the sister No. 3 car before the...
Finally got moved into my place in Germany. Less than a 7 hour drive away and I was stuck watching it on TV like everyone else. Maybe next year... It was cool to watch though, with the same day/night cycle in the same time zone. That was new.Thought rebellion was going to have an internal...
Follow up...I went to the local Ford dealership today and was able to successfully get a new key cut and programmed without affecting the trackey/tune. The dealership only had to bypass the security program in the ECU and did not require a flash. I was suspect at first, but one hour and $230...
thanks for the information. I feel better armed with knowledge walking into the dealership. I will try to get in there this week and will follow up with the results.
Thanks for the responses. I already purchased a silver boss key on eBay, but was shipped a red key. Seller has no more silver keys and I can't find anyone that sells a silver key to non-locksmith people like myself.@TMSBOSS, to make sure i understand what your are saying...If i have two keys...
Like it says, have the red key and no idea where the silver key disappeared too. I don't go to the dealerships much anymore and especially don't trust my two local ford dealerships. I was told that i can pull into the "quick lane" and they can get it cut and programmed for $280 and about 45...
I am going to try a paint correction and ceramic coating for the first time here next week. The materials cost about $700, but it will be enough to wash for years and coat a few vehicles. We'll see how this goes! Just a simple clay bar and wax will do wonders though.
When I lived in Kentucky back in 2007, you guys did the t5 conversion on my 70 mustang. The little stang is still running strong. It was a great experience working with you all and I still rep the PAE shirts when working in the garage! Still have the gt350?
I would just call the shops and talk to them directly. Shaun at Street or Track, John at Opentracker, and Maier all have a tremendous amount of experience racing vintage mustangs. I have talked to all of them and they are very willing to listen to your goals and help you get there. MTF is a...
Since this forum is predominately newer mustangs, I'd recommend the vintage mustang forum. There is a "track" sub-forum where you will be able to get some great information on your specific requirements. I'm not sure if it's still active, but corner carvers also had a lot of good information and...
I am bringing my Boss 302 to Frankfurt when I move there this fall. Lyon is one of the top places I wish to visit. My grandfather escaped the Armenian genocide in Turkey during the early 1900s and actually grew up at an orphanage in Lyon until he was a teenager and came to America. Just wanted...
