    S197 CaptKaos' 2011 S197 LS Swap

Pin 12 from the PCM is commanded ground from the CAN off the HVAC to pin 2 of the AC Clutch relay. (pg 5) I can ground pin 12 and power is output on pin 5 (VT-WH) wire is hot when the HVAC is on regardless of AC switch being on/off. Technically I could put a switch in to connect ground on Pin...

    S197 CaptKaos' 2011 S197 LS Swap

Sept 4th, 2023: As of today I have about 300 miles on the car. Minus the fact that I junked the Factory ECM and haven't found what signal need for CAN on the Holley to make it work so far everything is working as expected. I have just been running it with water so I plan to replace that with...

    S197 CaptKaos' 2011 S197 LS Swap

Saturday August 26th, 2023: Moved the car out of the garage again and set out to solve the Electric fan issue. After reading wiring diagrams and probing the harness we finally found the solution to get power to the fans. The PCM power circuit that is the only one on the car that provides Hot...

    S197 CaptKaos' 2011 S197 LS Swap

Thursday August 24th, 2023: Ordered some potting epoxy trying to be fancy with the connector that I Chopped off the ECM (hence why it is trash) and soldered some wires in the connector and then poured in the potting epoxy. I haven't soldered in FOREVER and it was my first time trying the whole...

    S197 CaptKaos' 2011 S197 LS Swap

Sunday August 21st, 2023: With the previous data in had I went about to bypass the FPCM. As I didn't want to commit to this 100%, I just did the normal bypass loop on the wiring. After testing this with the Ford wiring intact (minus the Fuel Pump Control Module) I found that key on turned on...

    S197 CaptKaos' 2011 S197 LS Swap

Saturday August 20th, 2023: My brother came over, we got the car outside again and when we went to crank it I found that the factory electronics (specifically the Fuel Pump Module) was responsible for priming the system and when it ran, it would run out of fuel pressure and die. This was after...

    S197 CaptKaos' 2011 S197 LS Swap

Friday August 18th, 2023: Daughter and I assembled the front of the car (minus the upper radiator cover) with the intention of getting it out of the garage and cranking it. And hoping to give her some motivation that we were close.

HS-CAN and MS-CAN message raw CAN mapping

I was looking at the RaceCapture last night trying to figure out the CAN involvement related to the AC system. Basically trying to see if I can capture and map the CAN Data into the Terminator and have it trigger/signal the AC system based on this wiring diagram. Is that something I can find...

Thurday August 17th, 2023: I had a few days at work that caused me delays but I alligator clipped the wires I needed to verify that I had everything correct. After some hesitation from my daughter on getting it crank we finally got it fired up for the first time is a year. Plan is to roll it...

    S197 CaptKaos' 2011 S197 LS Swap

Monday August 14th, 2023: After looking at the diagrams I finally realized that the Starter Circuit is controlled by the factory ECM.. Key switch sends power to the ECM on wire 16, ECM commands power to Wire 37 and wire 7 is grounded. All of this goes to the starter relay.

    S197 CaptKaos' 2011 S197 LS Swap

Sunday August 13th, 2023: Made a plan to push the car out of the garage for the first time since this all started. The previous night I filled the coolant with water (didn't want to risk more leaks). It sat overnight without issues. My brother and I started investigating the AC request trigger...

    S197 CaptKaos' 2011 S197 LS Swap

Saturday August 12th, 2023: Made it my plan to have all the wiring completed under the hood to hopefully crank this up. I got the new AC lines connected, all the wiring routed the best I could. I only have the starting circuit and the AC request wiring left at the end of the day.

    S197 CaptKaos' 2011 S197 LS Swap

Tuesday August 8th, 2023: Put all the radiator related pieces back in the car and realized this ate up some space that I didn't realize would happen for a direct replacement. since my new LS coolant stem kit didn't show up I couldn't fill the radiator as this time. I also took some time to...

    S197 CaptKaos' 2011 S197 LS Swap

Monday August 7th, 2023: Mishimoto Radiator showed up and I proceeded to get it mounted in the car. There were several tweaks I had to do to get this in. A couple of bolt stands were WAY off so I had to go after the AC condenser with a dremel, unibit and file and the bolts from the factory...
