  1. Detail Question - Pagid Brake Dust

Look forward to hearing what this is. Thanks
  2. Detail Question - Pagid Brake Dust

I was thinking about this. Maybe something like Meguiar's scratch remover and an aggressive pad with an orbital buffer? What did you use?
  3. Detail Question - Pagid Brake Dust

Yea, with the Sonax it turns from green to red and then you're supposed to just rinse it all away after 5 minutes or so. I also "agitated gently" with the aforementioned and entirely useless wheel brush.
  4. Detail Question - Pagid Brake Dust

Yep, some combination of pad, rotor and nuclear fallout from the looks of it.
  5. Detail Question - Pagid Brake Dust

How diluted? This sounds like something I should not be screwing around with.
  6. Detail Question - Pagid Brake Dust

I might try the plastic scouring pad approach. Does it scratch the clearcoat at all? I got this Mother's wheel brush thing with soft bristles that won't scratch anything but is completely useless. I might use it to brush the dogs. I run the Pagids year round so they get rain and everything else...
  7. Detail Question - Pagid Brake Dust

So I'm running Pagids and like others have deleted the rear brake dust shields. This has resulted in pretty massive brake residue build up on the rear wheels and I was hoping to get some advice on how to remove it. I bought some Sonax off Amazon based on positive reviews hoping that would do the...
  8. Oil Temperature question for 13 Boss and GT

Yes, running at Homestead I had this problem with very high oil temps even though the top end was fine with stock radiator. The stock oil cooler is basically useless and I can't figure out any reason Ford included it other than to say they added an oil cooler. I added the Ford Racing unit for...
  9. WTB OE Rear Pirellis - Lightly Used

Agreed. Thanks though for the offer.
  10. WTB OE Rear Pirellis - Lightly Used

Are they materially above the wear bars? Any idea what the cost would be to ship from Canada (where you are?) to Miami? I'm guessing you're right it wouldn't be cheap. I'll throw in a free picture of the sun. I heard you guys forgot what it looks like up there. 8)
  11. Tire Question - Mismatching F/R

Car is used mainly as a DD with periodic track days. I hear what y'all are saying although I'm not fully convinced that the difference in the mismatch of similar but different branded tires is materially different than the mismatch from brand new rear tires and front tires of the same brand with...
  12. WTB OE Rear Pirellis - Lightly Used

Looking for a pair of the OE Rear Pirellis (regular Boss not the LS Corsas) 285/35/19 that are lightly used. No puncture/repair history. Thanks
  13. Tire Question - Mismatching F/R

At 11k miles my rear OE Pirrellis are toast and need replacing. Tirerack (and anywhere else I've looked) wants an arm and a leg for the Pirellis so I'm planning to commit the mortal sin of mismatching the front/rears. In the interest of mitigating issues associated with grip differences I'm...
  14. Capaldi Racing Boss Testing at Road Atlanta

Great stuff. Turn 12 is just pure pucker. My throat tightens up just watching it.
