  1. S550 front control and lateral arm ball joint dust boots

The difficult part is doing them on the car. You need a pair of needle nose vise grips and a pair of regular needle nose pliers to install the wrap rings to cut the time down to a few minutes vs 40 minutes fighting the rings.
  2. S550 front control and lateral arm ball joint dust boots

Time to resurrect this thread with an update. The previous set of boots were the wrong size. I found the correct sizing and test fit them on a spare set of PP lateral links I bought. I bought the blue silicone boots from a vendor on ebay. Look for "21x45x33mm" in the search bar to find them...
  3. S550 front control and lateral arm ball joint dust boots

Ordered a set of boots from Ebay. They arrived from Bulgaria. Time to schedule some me time on my back in the driveway.
  4. S550 front control and lateral arm ball joint dust boots

Slight update. Moog doesn't sell them and won't identify their source of supply. However, they are called a "ball joint wrap ring boot".With that I did find a dust cover by stretchcvboot.com in their X-Large B4 size which covers: Shaft: 17-24mm Ball: 39-52mm Length: 37mmA 10 pack is only...

  6. S550 front control and lateral arm ball joint dust boots

I've discovered my front lower lateral and tension control arms have two ripped ball joint dust boots with a third not far behind. I installed a set of Steeda arms to combat the bump steering issues I had in late 2020 along with their tierod ends. Has anyone found a replacement boot yet?I...
  7. S550 Begining the journey

Bill, no offense taken what so ever. My skin is too thick from being in the Marines to take offense to suggestions or pearls of wisdom.Speaking of which, I have scheduled my first track day for Willow Springs taking on the Big Willow. Bought a front/rear tow kit from ZL1 for my car. Now to buy...
  8. S550 Begining the journey

My choice in rubber was nothing short of can it grip on the street and have some milage before it goes bald. The Nitto's while marginal in grip have lasted almost 40K miles if the alignment shop had done them proper. They didn't adjust camber in the rear claiming they were fixed. I was naive...
  9. S550 Begining the journey

Morning Bill and thank you. I have been researching a wheel/tire combination for a week or so. Most of the recommendations through various forums and Facebook have been poor man budget tires and drag packs. I currently have two sets of wheels, the stock PP wheels and Cooper Zeon RS3-G1s for...
