Not to say anything bad about Ben and what those guys are doing over there, but yeah-the parts kits are readily available, and it’s like taking things out of a tube; put it back in the order you removed it. It’s big and scary to most people, but shouldn’t be.if you simply don’t want to deal...
Hands down-wheels & tires.
All the performance mods, chassis tweaks, and anything else imaginable that we do to our cars hinge on one thing: how we get that power (or resistance!) to the ground. There is nothing more important mechanically than the grip and control afforded to you by a better...
Let me ask you guys:I’ve been changing my oil every 6 months, but almost never reach my mileage quota of ~5k between oil changes.
My two engine guys at work say there’s no need for me to change it so often since I run the Mobil1 5w50; that once a year is fine.
What are y’all’s opinion?

I’m not sure about that. Is your car lowered, or at stock height? I believe it’s a direct bolt in replacement for the OEM 2-piece, but I’d like other forum members to weigh in.
I spoke with a Charlotte area vinyl shop about replicating the stripes for my Boss 302. Their would be an initial cost to scan the vehicle, but they can recreate them. If I remember correctly, they quoted me ~$800 for the full kit.

As a detail guy from way back, I hope you’re being sarcastic...?Clay bars remove any contaminates that your typical mit wash misses. Little particles of road debris, Iron/metal/carbon dust from brakes, stuff like that that gets into your clear coat. The clay bar removes it.Cut & buff is the...
You’re exactly right. Guys tend to think that lowering a car is the be-all end-all of good handling. It’s not. HOW you lower it and the quality of components you use are far more important than “if”.
Ironically, my last AutoX car? The wheels were centered in the wheel opening.
When do we hear more about these tires?! I remember those days when Yoko’s were the hot setup, and I’ve always been a fan of Falken when they do dabble in performance rubber.
I’m a lowrider from way back, Norm. I have always thought that the lower the car, the better it looks. Hell, if I could tuck the tops of the tires into the sheet metal and still make this thing turn, I’d do it haha!the wheel being “centered” in the opening isn’t a concern for guys like me at...
