my 17yr old daughter knocked it out of the park this last year in autocross in our little Focus RS...and got to do a little track work at the Adrenaline Academy. She likes driving. She goes for drives all the time just to unwind and have fun. I like that.
I was out there a few weeks ago as well. good time. It wasn't as exciting at the boss / gt350 / rs programs I've been to but I did gain a huge appreciation for what these trucks are capable of.
I've got two RS's in the family and agree with the above. the cars are absolute riots to drive. a few small tweaks (springs and a tune, lightweight wheels / sticky tires) and you've got an absolute beast on your hands. My daughter and I co-drove in stock class (B street) autocross and it's a...
this could end up begin SUPER cool.
Ford should never have abandoned the mid-size truck market. I am really eager to see the actual new Bronco...sure hope they do a traditional-looking (2-door) Bronco. That would suit me better than the Raptor. You're right, Rick...it's a pretty big beast. It's...
a few pics after swapping the stock wheels for some Method Roost wheels...same size as stock to preserve the excellent stock tires but with 34mm add'l offset. pokes a little bit but baja truck. lol.
2 weeks and close to 2k miles on mine and I'm really digging this truck. We did 1,300 miles chasing the eclipse in central oregon...8-10 hours each way cruising at 80-85mph and it's one of the comfiest vehicles I've ever driven in the freeway. Beyond the obvious benefits of visibility and the...
I'll add a couple things (I own two of them and a GT350R and had a '12 boss nicely modded for 5 years that I really enjoyed).
The RS is not:
- a Boss replacement...it's a totally different beast
- a track car out of the box
- probably not a great place to start if you want to build a great track...
big fan of the Stilo ST5 that I'm currently running (same at Matt). Came from an HJC Si12 which was also very nice. Also just dropped in on a set of Stilo WRC DES helmets for me and my daughter to auto-x in...they have a terrific visibility / safety balance and have excellent built-in comms...
