I have to agree with Bill on this one. Same day and same great driver and the GT500 was less two tenths of second behind a new GT3 RS. That’s pretty damn incredible! What does one those run? 250k? There’s definitely no shame in getting whipped by a 812 superfast in the 1/4 mile. What’s one of...
I came up with .690 using calipers on the rear wheels. I wasn’t able to measure the holes on the front wheels due to how deep the mounting pad is. My car is a 2017 R.
It accelerated much harder than my R and I’d say the brakes are even better . I really expected the extra weight to be much more noticeable. I drove it in the paddle shift mode to experience it and it worked just fine. To tell you truth I kind of missed the engagement of having a manual...
I was very fortunate and was able to go the GT500 North American track tour at LVMS. Simply put the car is amazing! We were able to do two 1/4 mile drags runs in base cars. The track was unprepped, cold 50 something degrees and 3200’ something feet elevation. We didn’t do any burnouts and the...
I had a blast at this event. The track was new to me and it was fun and fast. My Pops rode shotgun with me for a few sessions and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great time and people.
I had the Continental Extreme Contact Sports mounted on the new wheels today and hope to get them on the car soon if weather permits. Once I get some time on them I will let you all know what I think of them. I run the Falken Azenis RT615K+ on my Fiesta ST daily driver and like them quite a bit.
Honestly I would have liked to have kept the carbon fiber wheels on all the time. Unfortunately a rock or something got stuck between the caliper and the front wheel and gouged some grooves through the ceramic coating on the inner barrel. With that happening and the price of the front wheels...
I read the article that Champale linked. Thanks! Plus another one by Billy Johnson on “How to properly size and select tires for performance.” After that and the input here I narrowed my choice to the Continental ECS in 305/30/19 , 325/30/19 and the Pilot 4S in 295/30/19 , 305/30/19 sizes. Both...
I appreciate the input. Figure for the price I can't go wrong. The Pilot 4S would be $300
more for the set and I still need to get a new set of Pilot SC2's for the track wheels.
Checking to see if anyone has experience with the Continental Extremecontact Sport tires. I have a
new set of wheels on the way for street duty. I'm looking for tires that are more street friendly and cheaper than the Pilot SC2's. The Continentals are quite a bit less expensive than the Pilot...
I'd like to send a big thanks out to Terrance. My first set of lug nuts were lost in the mail and I received an empty box. Terrance took care of me and sent another set out right away which I received intact. Really great customer service which was much appreciated.
The lug nuts look very slick...
